Ringtones

Mar 25, 2007 by julievmk

Since someone asked, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring is a movement from a cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach. It was written in 1661 by Martin Janis and was translated from German into English by Robert S. Bridges, music by Johann Schop. Most of the ringtones on this phone are famous classical pieces.
This was my first phone and I totally loved it, I found nothing wrong with this phone. I am now on my third phone by Samsung and they have all been great :)

No, it doesnt have a camera. If you want a camera phone then buy a camera phone. This phone was perfect for its intended use. Although I do agree that it would be nice if the samsung phones would ring and vibrate at the same time )

its good..

For the most part this phone is pretty good.. I've had it for almost 2 years and no MAJOR problems...

Pros-

charges fast! and stays charged.

small, sleek design

easy to use with the menu and stuff

big colorful screen

has pretty much anything you really need

cons-

a lot of dropped calls.. i don't know if its just tmobile or the phone itself but its kind of annoying

probably the worst selection of ringtones possible. jesu joy of man's desire? who thought of the names for these? or worse who made them up.. they're terrible. even the downloads off t-zones sound crappy.

antenna sucks and will break off if you sit on your phone while its in your back pocket. no good.

needs a camera!

Great! High Quality!

I've had this phone for a little over 2 years and it is great! It has been dropped a lot, and been through the washing machine once and still works!

Pros-
~durable
~T9 (predictive) typing
~good service (t-mobile is a German company, so you can still have service when traveling in Europe)

Cons-
~You can save multiple numbers under one name (ie work/mobile/home) but when you miss a call, it doesn't specify which number the call came from
~no speaker phone
~only 25 text messages can be saved to phone (200 on SIM card, but you have to switch each message manually! very annoying)

Overall this is a great phone with a few minor flaws, I strongly reccomend it.

good starter phone for T-Mobile

This is my first T-Mobile phone and it’s great! T-Zones so cool when I can look up the weather and news all the time, the scheduled alerts are cool, lots of stuff to download.

Pros:
-much smaller than my Sprint Sanyo phones (scp200 and the Sanyo 8100)
-never had a phone that makes noise when I open/close it :-D (folder tones)
-outside screen is easy to read, and stays on while using apps so I can still see what time it is!
-great signal in the Des Moines, Iowa area
-games
-voice ringers
-batteries on the samsungs are SO easy to take off to switch the SIM
-AIM
-GPRS seems plenty fast
-easy T-Zones access
-multiple numbers per name is something I don't think I could live without!

Cons:
-no ringer ID
-no speaker phone
-web access is lacking
-calculator seems difficult to use

The battery holds a charge well unless I do alot of messaging or games, but still has never died on me!
I don't understand the picture messages section...

Pretty good phone!

I think I like this phone. It is pretty basic phone but it did what I needed it to do. No real problems with the phone too. I just wish this phone had a camera. The phone was the lightest phone I ever used. Sometimes when I put it in my pocket I would forget it was even there. Wow. Good phone!

Great Phone

This was my very first cell phone, and I must say I am impressed.

PROS:
-Large display, easy to follow menu
-Plenty of ringtones, with as loud and soft as you need 'em (no struggling to hear)
-Couple of games to play
-AIM
-ETC

Cons:
-sometimes you hear a faint crackling- but that might be t-mobile or the fact I'm not far from the mountains.
-the battery is shot to hell, but that might also be my fault.

Really that's all the cons I have, if you even count them. It's a very reliable phone and easy to use. What more can I say?

unhappy

Jul 27, 2005 by kaebonz

I have had many phones and been with the same carrier for year and have been very happy. When I switched to the Samsung e-105, same service provider I have always had, I was very disappointed. I was not looking for a lot of features and just wanted something simple and small. The phone is almost too small and hard to hold onto at times. But worse is the reception, which is terrible. I live in the Seattle metro area and travel to many other large metro areas and the problem persist. Everyone complains they can't hear or understand me, I sound fuzzy and muffled. And I have to have the speaker volume all the way up to understand anyone else.

This is not a single defective phone either, I have a family plan with 5 of these phones, all horrible and have even gone so far as to exchange one just to see if I got a bad batch maybe but the new one is still no better. And my provider will not take the things back and give me something better without charging me a ton so now unhappy with them too as they sold the darn things to me.

And some of the features definitely don't work like they are supposed to, the ring tones are horrible and most of the ones I downloaded won't vibrate and ring at the same time even when I have that setting activated. Text messaging not so easy on this phone either, at least for me.

And as other people also complained about, they scratch and knick very easily. This is my first and definitely my last samsung phone!

I agree with other user about unexplainable high rating of this phone model. I'm swear I had this phone for about a day after which have returned it to the store, because I could not take the so-called ringtones as well as shi--y sound quality!

PROS:
-Nice desighn
-Ease of menu (like on all other Samsungs)
-world phone (900/1900)

CONS:
-Very unsmooth sound quality (jumps from low to hi when the other end cnanges the tone of voice slightly)
-Very unclear sound quality
(too much static during 50% of calls)

NOTE:
On amazon.com
50% of reviewers of this phones have complained about the sound quality issue of this phone. That is why I'm even more shocked that no one complaints here.

Terrible Headset quality

The phone and it's features are great. This is the second Samsung phone I've owned and BOTH of them are almost unusable with the headset. Listener on other end reports significantly lower volume when headset is used.

Easy, small, light weight, and sleeeeek.....

Mar 18, 2005 by door

My big problem with cell phones in general is is their size. Even the smaller phones tend to be bulky simply becouse of their design. I hate to have things hanging and banging on my belt, so having a small and sleek phone that fits comfortably in my pocket is a must. The Samsung E105 fits this bill perfectly. It's small, light weight, and even more importantly, designed to have a small profile.
As a trade off, the phone doesn't have a camera or bluetooth, but neither of those features are vital to a casual user such as myself.
