This is a fasion phone, it has great looks, i like it a lot, it has great polyphonic sound, but its screen is just aweful, motorolas 65x96 screens, just suck! it isnt just that the color and size is horrible, but the main screen is BLOCKED by the opperator logo or information, and the colck and date! so u have just a tini space for your wallpaper. Besides that, the phone is great. It has color lights that you can asign to different groups and stuff

Motorola E380 as my backup phone

Oct 6, 2005 by bluegsx

I bought this as a backup phone to my V551. Reception has been great (south-eastern United States...Cingular). The ringer and earpiece volume are plenty loud enough. The sound-sensitive lights are nice to play with and get attention everywhere I go. This was designed to be a PHONE first with a few options so I will not say things like "no bluetooth" or "no camera" as a con...this phone was not intended for the business professional or power user so it shouldnt be compared with upper-end phones with cameras and bluetooth etc...It does not need a better screen because it is not a camera phone or a picture viewer. It is just a fun phone and it does its job very well! In some cases (like this phone) SIMPLE IS GOOD!

Pros:
- Good reception
- Great battery life
- attention getting design
- simple and functional screen
- fun light show (yes you can turn the lights off)
- easy usb interface (motorola phone tools) for phonebook and calendar backup

Cons:
- Earpiece is kind of awkward...takes some getting use to (it doesnt fit flat against your ear due to the flipped-open angle)
- The "change-able color face plates" are almost impossible to find for this phone, even straight from Motorola

Would like to have's: (not really cons)
- MP3 ringtones would be the only option I would like to have on this phone

Bottom line:
Nice, stylish "grab and go" phone.

A Little DJ-Phone

Jul 13, 2005 by guidindong

My sister has just acquired this little phone but I was the one who decided to make a review.

PROS:
+ AMAZING polyphonic sound.
+ GREAT funlights.
+ INTERESTING design.
+ TINY size.

CONS:
- AWFUL color screen.
- Earpiece is quite uncomfortable.
- Acrylic cover seems to be fragile.

Overall, my sister seems to like it.. I think it is because it's fashionable.
