Breath of Fresh Air

Nov 12, 2011 by Rocco   updated May 5, 2013

I switched to the Trophy from a BB Storm 1 and I have to say that WP7 really surprised me-in a good way. The first thing I noticed is that the Trophy feels like a quality device in the hand. The second thing I noticed is the excellent display and the speed of the UI. The phone is really fast and responsive. I am very pleased with how well my GMail account integrates with the phone. Call quality is very good and I am happy with how good the phone's bluetooth voice control works in the car. I was also pleased to learn that the Trophy uses Gorilla Glass as I don't want to add a screen protector.

Well made phone

Great phone. I've been waiting for a Verizon WP7 phone since WP7 was released. I think WP7 is as polished as iOS and has the sleekest mobile user interface on the market.

Pros:
Phone just works. Everything is so fluid. Dont read into the specs, this phone flies. One of the most responsive phones I've ever used. Touch screen is great and accurate.

Form Factor. 3.8" screen size is a great size. Bigger than the iPhone's 3.5" but not a huge brick like the 4.3" competition. I wouldnt want a phone that was any bigger.

Cons:
Not 4G, even though the technology is still young and not power-friendly yet. Wifi in most places anyway

SLCD, wish it had it. I'm happy with the quality but SLCD would have been nicer.

Battery life could be better. (True for any phone).

I think WP7 gives you the best user experience in the mobile market. Highly recommend this phone (and Windows Phone 7 in general).

solid phone

Been using this phone for a few days and I am now running the mango update. This phone is AMAZING! the UI is so clean and crisp, just what I was looking for!

Pros:
Nice screen
Good call quality
FAST CAMERA! only takes a second to start up
Comes with HTC hub which is light years ahead of other wp7 weather apps
twitter, Facebook & Facebook chat integration with mango update

Cons:
Battery life (a given with all smartphones)
Lacking apps (market is growing though)
Text correction is a little slow
Notifications for Twitter take a little long to show up

So Much Better Than WM 6.1

Jun 6, 2011 by icumove

I had on of the *old* HTC WM 6.1 phones and couldn't stand it. I know this phone was coming out so I hung in there until my 2 year renewal was coming around.

Compared to the old phone I can now make a phone call with out it hanging, send text messages and even type in numbers while on a phone call without the lock screen coming up.

It has totally been worth the wait for me. I have even started playing with the App store. I see that it isn't as rich as the iPhone store yet, but there are a bunch of useful applications already.

PROs
* Makes a phone call.
* Better reception then I had before.
* Text messaging and Facebook integration are great.
* Has cut-and-paste!

CONs
* Looking forward to more applications
* Doesn't have the "mango" release on it.
* Battery lasts about a day or so with usage but I guess this to be expected.

Great Phone

I love this phone. I have since switched to AT&T and currently have an android phone. I used the Trophy for over a year and I miss it. The OS is just smooth and runs great. I never crashed my trophy the entire time I had it, my new galaxy S has crashed 7 times and I only had it for a week. I am switching to another windows phone

Pros
Size is great
Call quality
Screen is beautiful
OS works amazing

Cons
not as many apps as the other OS's, but it's growing
It's only 3g
Locked to Verizon, although it is a global phone and I was able to unlock it to accept a SIM card from AT&T. Never got the data to work that way though.
