Best Phone So Far!

Aug 20, 2003 by dtsuyuki

Great phone, lots of bright colors.

Pros:
*small, lightweight
*great color
*cool third party stuff

Cons:
*IR port flaky
*phone book doesn't have same features as Nokia for storing and listing numbers
*microphone and headset sounds limited

Best phone I have owned so far. Nokia phones and Kyoceras' have better features, but this one seems pretty reliable and solid.

Samsung S307 Rocks

Oct 15, 2003 by Jonathan Eckstein

I just got this phone off of Ebay and it was the Blue version and this phone only available in the UK rocks it is so small I am afraid that I might lose it, but once that loud ring goes off I have no trouble finding it again. I have T-Mobile and that reception is extremely clear. I recommend this phone to anyone who loves flip phones.

AMAZING PHONE / A MUST BUY FOR CINGULAR USERS

Jun 28, 2003 by Mike Crotch

I bought this phone from a local best buy store. It is incredible. At first glance, the small size is a bit intimidating, but it is actually a HUGE PLUS. The battery is small and lasts a VERY long time. The big beautiful TFT color screen blew me away at first sight. The call reception and voice quality are excellent and far surpasses any of my previous cell phones. The ring tones are nice and loud. Text mesaging is simple with this phone. It also comes with 4 java games that are great. At a base price of $199.99 with a one year it is a great deal. I have not yet found a con in this phone. IT IS THE BEST PHONE CINGULAR (OR SAMSUNG) HAS EVER CREATED!!

Very Good Phone!

Im very impressed by this Samsung. It has a cristal clear screen and loud ringtones. Excelent quality and feels strong and durable. The battery is good but not excellent. Signal reception is excellent. Is very reliable.

Ps: Ok Ok now to the reality! This is a girlie phone!!! My God i cannot belive it! A mirror? Butterflies at the begining and Swans or Ducks when u charge it! And the cutie cute so fashionable design is so women like! My manly ego is at risk with this phone! (joking)

But seriously this phone is great! They should built a Man's edition. U know....a more masculine phone. But is OK. Anyway i like it!

Weak display

A very popular phone with us, due to its compact size. The complaints we have received are that the screen inside is extremely difficult to read on sunny days, more so than other colour screen models. The phone does not come preloaded with a simple ringer, which is annoying. The call quality is excellent. It is reasonably durable, however the flip seems that it could be a higher than expected maintenance item. The OEM earpiece included is excellent. Overall it is an excellent phone.

BAD phone but looks good

Jul 20, 2003 by cambrian

First of all, this is a nice looking phone with decent features. It is small and compact and has great battery life. BUT !!!!!!!, the phone has one very very very crucial flaw. The microphone on this phone is poorly design. When I say this, I'm being nice. The microphone is worse than those built in the 1930's. I have the same symptoms that the other reviewer indicated. The people on the other line say that my voice sounds "electrical", "microphone-like", "static", and just plain weird. And believe me this is not because of one bad phone or cingular or the other person's phone. I have tried calling a land line, numerous other providers and even trying on another brand new Samsung S307. The results were the same: really really crappy microphone quality as heard by the other person. I mean what do those idiots at Samsung were thinking? I don't care about how small or nice looking the phone is: get one fundamental and basic thing to work first, the voice quality. The microphone is buried inside the plastic rubber thingy that is the padding for the flip of the phone. Don't rush to buy this phone. It is actually an overpriced piece of junk.

The Pros outweigh the Cons

This phone is one of the best phones introduced by Cingular Wireless. I have had this phone since the GSM conversion in our market (Houston, TX). The phone has superb reception, good battery life (my V60i was better), and a beautiful color screen. The features I am really looking for in a phone that could make this rival phones like the Moto V500/V600 would be voice-activated dialing. After using this repeatedly with my V60i, I became very accustomed to this feature. Another feature lacking with most Samsung phones is Bluetooth (also included on V500/V600). Sony Ericsson and Motorola are at the forefront of companies who believe in making wonderful Bluetooth phones. Samsung really needs to introduce a phone comparable to the S307 that will have Bluetooth. If that happens...lookout Motorola!!! Moto will no longer be able to compete with the beauty of Samsung clamshell phones.

I would rate this phone poorly I have had it for 3 months and here is why. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY AND READ THIS : First of all this phone costs alot of money
$300 in New York at least and there is more than just that . Okay First of all you need to spend an additional $80 through Samsung to be able to download ringtones and pictures you need special software and cable. This phone also does not have picture ID , also the ringer ID is only for groups not for individuals so its a pain ,so you have to add everyone in your phone book to a group and that defeats the purpose because you can have a friends group but they will all have the same ring and than you can do a family group etc and you have to put the phone # in with the area code or ringer id will not work. The phone does not come with great pics and the ring tones are okay. the phone book takes too long to initialize or boot up when you turn the phone on . You can not change the color of the outer screen. and there is no voice dial. there are some good things about this phone that may be more important to you like the battery life is great , the reception is good , ring tones loud and clear , in the front above the outer screen when your phone rings it lights up in rainbow color. and you can change the color. the phone does have alot of features and good phone book space. You should be careful when getting this phone because you can get more for your money. or call samsung or any manufacture for that matter and find out what the phone really does. I also can not use my internet access at all from this phone. Its also very small which is nice in some ways but you will be surprised how small it is. anyway hope I have helped Peace
