Overall, a pretty good phone!

Coming from someone that refused to attempt a touch screen phone for years, I must say I actually like this phone. I went from an Intensity 2 to this one, and it was a nice small step into the world of smart phones. While it makes me crave something more high-tech, such as an HTC or Samsung Captivate, the Eternity 2 is a great starter phone for the smart phone era. It has a lot of the capabilities of an HTC, but it doesn't have the high-end feel of one. The touch screen is very responsive, and texting is actually quite easy, which was a major deal maker or breaker for me. Everything is lightning fast and responsive, although about 4 hours after I activated the phone it suddenly started lagging horribly bad. I called AT&T customer service, and a very nice man sent an update to my phone via his computer, and within an hour it was good as new, and has been since.

Pros:
many highly-customizable alarms. can name them and set which days they go off
3 home screens, you can put any application (messages, alarms, calculator, etc) on any page, and you can keep less often used applications in a hideable bar to keep them out of the way.
decent camera, snaps photo right away without the lag of the intensity 2
Easy to record and send videos to friends
Cons:
You can't get the useless applications out of your main menu, even things you don't have supported by your plan (mobile tv, etc)
I don't like how text messages don't just pop up, and the "read" button is very small and hard to hit
Either you have to take 5 seconds to unlock your phone, or you'll have to exit out of stuff your fingers hit after touching your phone
Lame games, no Angry Birds or Tapfish

All in all, a pretty good phone, but not for you if you want something fancy and limitless.

slow

I received this phone as a replacement for my Solstice from the insurance dept. I was immediately disappointed because everything is delayed. Texting is extremely difficult and slow. The virtual keyboard letters are also very small. Playing games is near impossible because you have to touch the screen multiple times to get anything to happen. When using the internet it is so frustrating. I like to use my phone for Facebook and I keep getting errors from the phone. Also, it is not compatible with Tetris. ???? I thought that was odd.
