Aug 15, 2011 by rixx1488

Pros
great battery life
fits in pocket good
nice qwerty keyboard and i have huge hands
customizable everything
touchscreen works good
price,price,price

cons
could have a better camera

I actually downgraded from a android phone
I just wanted better battery life and a somewhat customizable phone and this fit the bill great. And it doesnt feel like i'm carrying a briefcase in my pocket anymore.

For 80 bucks on cricket.com it cant be beat!

Poorly Designed Interface

Pros:
- Great battery life.
- Has a customizable menu with icons.
- Has four customizable "desktops" that you can add the menu icons to.
- Has easy access to messages and music (too bad I don't use my cell phone for listening to music).
- The voice recognition feature is pretty slick. I can say "Call John Smith at mobile" and it will call John from my contact list. No set-up required. It doesn't recognize names pronounced in Spanish though, so I can't use it to call my own husband.

Cons:
- The phone beeps when the battery is done charging, and there's no option to turn off the beep, which means I can't charge my battery at night because my phone will wake me up when it's done charging.
- Text messages don't auto-delete when space is running out, and there's no easy way to delete multiple text messages without deleting them all at once.
- The sensitivity on the touch screen is difficult to get used to.
- When making a phone call, the screen automatically locks (good idea so I don't cheek-dial while on the phone), BUT to get to the dialer, I have to press the unlock button, then drag the screen unlock bar, then press the "dialer" button on the screen.
- Once I have entered the dialer screen while in a phone call, I can't get back out.

Consider the following frequent scenario: I call some automated system (like voice mail or my bank's phone teller or the cable company), and the first thing I have to do is "press one for english" or enter my PIN or something like that. So I go through the complicated process described above to get to the dialer so I can press a few numbers. If I had elected to speak to a human, then I'm put on hold while I wait for the next available representative. At this point, I want to turn on the speaker phone so I can do other things while I wait, but I can't get out of the dialer screen to the where the speaker phone option is. So I'm stuck with the phone plastered to my ear for 20 minutes listening to hold music.

Awsome Phone

Oct 29, 2010 by Iove2transfercustomers

The keyboard is great. The buttons are so much easier to press. The touch screen is very responsive. The Internet is fast. The mp3 player plays very loud. The ringtones should be louder. The camera doesn't have zoom. The video recorder is okay. It can record up to 10 mins of video.
I like that it has a dedicated music and messages button. With the texting, it separates your text messages like a conversation. If you text different people, it keeps all the texts you send back and forth with that person in its own thread. Pretty cool. Some of the apps are weather, sports, Facebook, Myspace, BET, My Account. It has 3 home screens. The battery life is long. I don't have to charge it for about a day. However, once I start watching Youtube, or browsing for a couple of hours, the battery life goes a lot faster. It does alert you when it's done charging. I would say this phone is worth having. Imo, it is the best thing to have next to a smart phone.

PROS:

-great call quality (in my area)
-good and loud music player
-2mp camera
-camcorder
-touch screen is very responsive
-cool graphics
-smooth feel, sturdy. doesn't feel cheap
-dedicated music and messages buttons
-good battery life
-3.5mm head jack
-customizable, can move/delete apps/widgets

CONS:

-ringtones should be louder
-can't see display all that good in daylight
-it will not play the next song, you have to go in and change it to the next song
-it may be too small for someone that has big hands

i like it!

I got this phone about 3 1/2 weeks ago and so far it has been great.I'm on cricket wireless in Kansas city. the reception is good except when in the metal box that is my house. I am coming from a Blackjack 2 on at&t. being my first touchscreen phone it takes a little getting used to but went quicker than i thought it would.

Pros: quick response from the touchscreen. Internet, Navigation, Facebook! love the slide out keyboard, very easy to use big buttons.

Cons: No facebook sms or updates sent to phone, have to log in to get updates. That may be a carrier thing though (catch up cricket!) the slide is starting to get a little loose but i do open it a lot. i normally send aver 100 texts a day. Battery life! have to charge at least once a day and then again at night.

Other than that it is really solid phone. Good job cricket!

Messager Touch

I just picked this phone up earlier today and i actually love it. As of last week i was an iphone owner and i honestly thought i would never have a phone again that could make me happy unless it was another iphone. This phone is def something to look into. I have it on the Cricket carrier and the service is good and the internet use is decent considering. It def is a good choice if you cant afford an expensive phone but dont want a low end phone. This phone is right in the middle at $160. The touch screen is very responsive and there is such a small delay oin screen loading you wouldnt even notice it unless you were actually looking for it.
