Hot Blackberry Bold 9700

Dec 17, 2009 by ested23

I have to say that this Blackberry 9700 is a very nice phone. Can't go wrong at all.

Pro:
Sound and call quality-GREAT!
3MP Camera and video- Great quality and very crisp and clear. Better than the Bold 9000
The BB Messenger-Nice and simple to use. You can place pics to identify the people that you have on the BBM.
Text messaging is GREAT, conversation style-similiar to the BBM.
Browser works fast.

Cons: A tad smaller than the Bold 9000, which I like better. Also< I like the phone memory on BB9000 1Gig over 256MB BB9700.

But for the most part, the 9700 is a great buy.

The 9700 is a great communications device. The hardware and the way it works is excellent and very smooth. The new software and added processor power really help when it comes to multitasking. Although the browser is still by far one of, if not the worst on the market it still gets 4.5 from me. The reason is the following.

Pros:
Battery life is awesome!
phone never lags
can tether over 3g!
push email (of course)
Background Apps
Voice quality
BBM
Speaker phone is LOUD and people don't seem to notice when u put them on it
Build quality is second to none
Keyboard is great
The track pad is a sure fire winner
UMA (for T-Mobile)
Great camera
Visual Voice mail
You can customize you spell corrections
Music audio quality is great
Itunes syncing

CONS:
APP world is doesn't have that many apps
Even over 3g Apps are slow
Browser is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't come with a very large memory card

Overall I think this is a great phone for a power emailer and someone who will travel the world, especially the T-Mobile one because the 3G works even in Japan which is rare. For someone that does a lot of social networking they would be better off with an iPhone or a Cliq. The social networking Apps need a lot of work.

The Best BB from AT&T

Dec 9, 2009 by MR.ATT

This BB is the best out there. The size and weight is great on this device. I am very happy with RIM and at&t.

Pros: New auto-focus Camera is GREAT.
Hands down the Track pad... there should never be another trackball in a BB
New 5.0 Software is great and really smooth.
Threaded text messaging is the best.

Cons: that they didnt come out with this phone sooner!

Best phone hands down.

Any new phone you use there is always a learning curve. But once you learn the Blackberry 9700 it's a dream of a phone. The #1 thing you buy a cell phone for is to be a phone. This phone is a 10 out of 10 for it's ease of use and functionality for managing contacts, sound quality, and overall use as a "phone". Blackberry has always been #1 in the texting and e-mail category in my book, and this phone sets that bar even higher. One word, "outstanding". I consider the internet browser as very good. It does the gob if you need it. I have never found a phone that was great on the internet, maybe because if I have to surf the internet, I'm going to do it on a real computer with a big monitor, not a 2.5 inch phone display(and I have good eyes).

Pro: - Camera takes outstanding pictures
- Video camera is very good
- Keys feel good in hand
- No other phone on market has a crisper/sharper display
- MP3 player and video player are very nice
- GPS is a perfect 10
- Sound quality is superb
- UMA calling, not that many phones on the market that have this feature, this one does!
- The trackpad is a dream to use and looks great, makes phones with a trackball look ancient.
- Size, weight, styling, all a perfect 10.
- Processing speed is extremely fast, no lag time between apps.

Cons: - Phone got stuck in speaker mode one time. I had to remove battery and reboot to reset phone. It's been 14 days since and I have not had that problem again. I will report back if it happens again.

Nice Phone! Like It!

imapolymorph...Whoa! It sounds like one less cup of coffee may be what you need.

If things are that bad, PLEASE get a different phone.

I like what I see, but more importantly, it was what I expected...a nice step up from the 8900.

Pros
Nice size
Nice keyboard (though a bit small)
Trackball
Newer video features

Cons
None really

I like what I see; RIM does it again!

Soild Phone

Blackberry did a great job on this phone.

Pros:
Battery Life (So Far)
Screen
Track Pad
Fast Operating Software (5.0)

Cons:
3.6 3G, not a big deal now, but next year in 2010, when AT&T is rolling out with 7.2(4G), this phone will be left out.
The keyboard will take some getting used to, may not be for everyone.

This is a solid BB, no question about it, however if they made the 9000 with a track pad, (which I'm sure they will) I would opt for that. Also regarding a previous post, the on-board memory is 256, the 9000 was only 128, so they did increase.

WOW!

If you are a Blackberry fan this is "The Phone" to have! It has everything from 3g to Wifi to full web browsing. I own an 8900 and was disappointed it not having 3g but this is definitely an upgrade. No cons about the phone, t-mobile just needs to be a little quicker about getting more 3g coverage areas!

T-Mobile and RIM have a winner!!!!

I have had a lot of blackberries in the past and the Blackberry 9700 is the best I have ever had. Not only is it sleek and stylish but it also has the best name in the business on the bottom of the phone....T MOBILE. I recently upgraded from the 8900 and love the 9700 even more. This is by far the best device I have ever owned. I urge all you Blackberry users to try this device out...you won't be sorry.

best bb ever
