Do NOT Buy The Motorola Hint.

Jun 20, 2011 by Ascending2011

This is most likely the longest time I've had the same phone. (Approximately 9 months or longer.) That's only because I don't want to pay to get another phone switched over for Cricket.
Anyway, I strongly do not recommend this phone for anybody.

Pros:
-Internet is fast
-Receiving/Sending MMS is quick
-It works. (When it wants to.)
-It is compact and easy to carry.

Cons:
-Paint peels away on the keyboard.
-It is awkward to hold whilst in a conversation
-The battery life is only 2.5-3.5 hours, maybe 4.
-It sometimes says the correct battery is "invalid"

It's really a terrible phone, and I feel sorry for anyone who has purchased it.

Alright phone but satisfied

Well I have had this phone for about 2 years, i got my first one Christmas 2009 i think..., then 2 weeks later i had to go and get a new battery, then the next christmas i dropped it in the snow and it was fine and then the next week it would turn on but wouldnt do anything but blink the screen on and off most of the time so i told my grandma and we went to go get a new phone instead of dealing with this one and the stupid guy behind the counter said we can give you replacement for $85.00: OH I WAS PISSED becuz of course my grandma said OK!! So now i am still stuck with this phone and it has lasted but its about time for a new one.

PROS: Great computer like screen, nice keyboard, nice camera, nice slider, cool design, small, and well the phone is pretty good.

CONS: Slow, screen scratches very easily (its a phone i know every screen does), Did I say slow already?? old, paint chips off easily, too small, texting lags just a little bit, can't change the left side icons only the right ones, NO GPS when it said it comes with it on the box (trust me i have looked), internet gets veeeeeerrrrrryyyyyy slow after you have had the phone for a while, the SD card is stupid most of the time, when you find a really good wallpaper and want to set it as you wallpaper it doesn't fill up the screen like you want it too, when people hold it they touch the screen becuz they think its touch, they dont have an upgrade software, i wish all the buttons on the top part were a little bit bigger, i dont get service on this phone like i did on my Samsung Messager, it has some bugs that need to be fixed, & the video sucks becuz it only takes 35 second videos and looks reaaallly bad when you make it full screen.

I would have to say that they literally need to get people that have this phone, put them in a room and let them text each other to see what happens and then they can see how it works out.

LOOOOVE THIS PHONE!!

I bought this phone from cricket some months ago, and i hate i had to sell it. I absolutely loved this phone. Besides the fact that its stylish, its easy to navigate thru the menu. the only thing i would change about this phone is the size of the keys. I had to use my nails whenever i sent text because the keys are so small. But it didnt bother me much because i usually text with my nails regardless :0]...This phone caught attention where ever i went, and people wanted to know where i got it. I absolutely love the threaded messaging and the music player. I would recommend this phone to anyone!

PROS:
* STYLISH
* EASY TO NAVIGATE
* CRISP MUSIC PLAYER
* CLEAR VIDEO
* CLEAR CAMERA

CONS
* KEYS R WAAAYYYY TOO SMALL

difficult to hear conversations

I've not had problems with the phone freezing and shutting off. My only complaint-- and this a major issue---is that it's difficult to hear your caller unless you have it on speaker-phone. This is obviously not practical at work or in public. Others voices are muffled and if you are anywhere with slight background noise it will be impossible for you the hear the caller, unless you have it on speaker. Over all, It's a much better MP3, camera, and text message tool than it is a phone. And I do text but I also need a phone. I'm ready to shop for another phone.

50/50 Phone

Works half the time and the other half it turns off by itself, sends random text messages, is completely worthless when its acting up. I put some tape around the battery and dropped it several times and now it seems to work better than brand new. Isn't that weird?

Good-ish

I had this phone for about eight months. It was pretty decent.

Mind you no Internet and this was through Cricket.

Pros:
-Slide felt sturdy
-Size was good
-The keyboard worked pretty good.
-Shortcuts was convenient
-Email was a nice plus

Cons:
-Navigation keys were unresponsive sometimes
-Whenever I received text message the phone would freeze. I'd have to turn off the phone. Usually I would have to I messaged a lot so this was a huge problem. That was pretty much the only problem I had that was a big deal. I received a lot of text messages so this constantly bothered me.

this phone has it good and bad times.

This is a great phone but it has it times. I got one for christmas 2009 and January 9 it stopped working, i went and got a new battery and then February 15 it stopped working so the following saturday I went with my grandma to go get a new phone. Needless to say the insurance replaced it for $85.00, instead of paying $150.00 for a new phone that i wanted i'm stuck with this one again. Here are the PROS and CONS.

PROS:Great for texting, or messaging in general, great camera and video camera, internet is fast and i dont pay a lot for it.

CONS: wont turn on most of the time, wont charge and some other stuff that is soon to happen.

Not Too Shabby.

I have had this phone for about a month now and I like a lot of the features of the phone.

Pros:
QWERTY Keyboard - Does take a little bit of time getting used to the size of the keys.
Loud ring.
Nice size.
Camera takes pretty good pictures for a 2.0 mega-pixel camera.
Slideshow mode when looking at pictures is a plus.
Recordable ringtones.
You can also set your ringtone to be more than one sound.
Good battery life.
Conversation mode in texting can be convenient.

Cons:
Vibrate mode is very strong which disappoints because my phone is always on vibrate.
If you don't dial the area code when calling out, it won't tell you if that person is a contact in your phone or not.

Best browser

Very nice and sturdy for a slider phone.
Look-Screen does not allow icons to move for
wall paper, i.e. pic.
Keypad-Definitely for the high tech mind, takes some work to figure out but worth it once mastered. This different shape of key is odd and warranted more attention to work.
Audio-nice call and speaker sound/clear
Music-BEST I have ever experienced in EASY to put music on micro card/playlist--sound awsome.
Recorder- Very nice sound/ringtone attachable
Ringtones-Easy to download
Camera-Very nice. BEST ever effects to edit, with features allowing dropping text right on the pic with choice color and font size. Prints out very nice on pic paper as well.
Picture view-viewing and slide show effects nice.
Video-very nice
Browser-BEST ever, "back feature" pops right back into last page (es) with no waiting.
Very nice.
Calendar-Workable, repeat feature a little challenging.
Memo pad-Very nice however very limited to save notes for reference.
Alarms-nice
Contacts- nice
