Good phone...

May 1, 2009 by cdm8975

The CDM 8975 is the phone I recently upgraded to, and I'm glad i did. Firstly, I like it's clamshell design which I find pretty slick. The phone fits snugly in my hand and all the buttons located on the phone are distinct from one another. Also, the inside keys have a nice feel to them and each key is quite large so accidentally hitting others is unlikely. On the outer left side it has the vibrant red PTT button which is easy to spot and use, which turns into another hotkey for the built in music player when PTT is disabled in the phones options. Thus bringing me upon the music department within the phone, which is great IMO, the speaker located on the outside front can actually get very loud yet still have perfect quality. Navigation while it's closed or open is simple and the music will continue to play if you open and close it, but you can't do anything else while listening. If, however, you receive a text or call from someone the music will momentarily pause until you finished speaking or sending your message; or until you end their call or just exit out of the text.
The texting on the CDM 8975 is nice and I like it. The "t9/word" is very handy because of the fact that it remembers earlier words you have typed and will store them in its memory. The call signal and quality are both good and clear for my Verizon carrier.
Overall, it's a good phone that I would recommend which has a decent picture and video functionality as well. Lastly, I gtg but if your looking into this phone, I say it's a good buy for anybody who wants a phone that can deliver their calls, play their music, text, and supply with a sleek design.
P.S.
I don't have the PTT enabled because I didn't add the feature to my plan which is an additional $5 a month for unlimited use with VZW.
