Sales Reps loce this phone

Dec 13, 2009 by nycdru

MANY people have this phone, love this phone, and have given it rave reviews here. I have had mine for a year and I could just repeat what everyone else has said but this is a far better endorsement of this phone.

I live in NYC and have walked into numerous Sprint and Verizon stores and have asked "Which phone do the majority the sales reps and techs carry/use?" The answer is always Blackberry and if they haven't upgraded to the Tour or Storm then they have this one. In spite of its age and the fact that it is towards the end of its run it is STILL one of the most loved phones for use by sales people and Technicians. There is a reason. The phone just works.

Cons(Why i gave it 4.5 instead of 5): It is getting old, and outdated and is showing its age via its browser and limited memory BUT it is defiantly one of the all time Great phones.

A LITTLE LATE

Dec 13, 2009 by mellowlen62

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just got this phone given to me (lost the charger on my Centro) and I am adjusting well. Much better than the Pearl I had some years ago...in ALL respects. Call quality is superb, messaging and email are fantastic. The only cons are (1) battery life, (2) I sort of miss Palm's "touch" screen; and (3) what's up with that 160 character cutoff? My Palm used to let me type forever and if it split up the message I didn't know about it. That's a bit annoying. Other than that, a top performer.

I am now addicted to blackberries, i love this phone, its awesome...the only reason im not giving it 5 stars is cause battery needs improving and reception needs to be better, other than that its excellent.

pro's

nice red color
keys are pretty easy to text on
good reception, but not great
excellent call quality
speakerphone is good
easy to use

con's

battery life
reception could be better
freezes every once in a while, not often

bottom line

Blackberry + Sprint = Great!!!

Blackberry Curve 8330 With Sprint.

I had been with Sprint for 10 years now. I have had many phones. My last phone was a Samsung A-900. I was due for an upgrade on my phone. I chose this Blackberry Curve 8330. I chose it because of the Blackberry reputation. The phone came with 1gb stick and I upgraded to the max card 8gb. After having this phone for awhile now. Its like having a digital and video camera. Its like having a endless diary (notes). Having text messages stored forever. It has that Sprint navigation, no need to buy a tom-tom. It has a TV and sprint music to download endless songs. This phone does everything but walk. It also features a spell checker and allows you to add your own words to the dictionary. The phones software also allows you to back up your files on your computer. I only ask myself, why didn't I get this phone sooner. You definitely wont be disappointed. It's the you can do everything on phone. Really no need for a computer. Now I know why RIM Blackberry has such a reputation. This phone is a 5.0 and Sprint service is a 5.0. Thats 5.0 being the top.

No more looking for another phone...This is it!

I bought this phone from MetroPcs thinking it would not work for me but it proved me wrong....I love phones and was always switching from one phone to another because it looks better...sometimes even after only a few weeks..I would buy another but not with this one....so far I have had this phone for 6 months now and continue loving it and can't even think about being without it.it has everything I need especially the applications that I use....I should have bought this phone a long time ago but metropcs just did not have it but finally its here and its going to stay....so if you like using facebook, messenger, sending or receiving emails...this is it!I love it and for an unlimited flat rate that I pay monthly...you can't beat it...The only way i would replace this phone is for another Blackberry....especially the storm which is touchscreen too...that would be the ultimate!
BLACKBERRY ROCKS!

Now a fan of BB

This has got to be the most functional PDA phone I've ever used! I'm use to some lag with WM phones and poor battery life with every other PDA. I can have my e-mails sent instantly to my phone, and go without charging my phone everyday!

Yeah it does not have touchscreen, but the trackball is intuitive for every day use. Hated my pearl, but this is awesome, and I have no problem paying more just to have it!

EV DO sprint ahead

The bad would be is the manual don't tell about the phone.

Nice device!

All in all this is a great device. The only thing I don't like is the keyboard spacing and the gloss finger print magnet finish. I will be using this device until the BB TOUR comes out.

Verizon Blackberry Rocks!!!

May 23, 2009 by gerryrules73

I have had several phones w/Verizon and this is my first Blackberry and I am loving this smartphone. I use the phone pretty much for personal use-e-mails, Facebook, calendar and personal calls.

Pros:
* Easy access to e-mail, Facebook, apps, internet
* Phone calls sound clear and no drops whatsoever
* Calendar easy to use
* Expandable memory up to 8 GB's
* Easy customization
* BB was technically free in price since I upgraded a couple of wks ago w/the New Every Two

Cons:
* Battery life could be better. It is not what they advertised. You'll get a good 1 1/2-2 days depending on usage.
* Camera is a little blurry.
* Speakerphone is a little fuzzy

Other than the cons, I highly recommend this phone. It is a more user friendly phone than the Pearl or Storm. Once you get a Blackberry, you never go back.
