enV2 Rocks!

Jan 24, 2009 by Midnight.Daybreak

I recieved my enV2 in September, and since then, I have always been connected with it.

Pros
-The keyboard is great! It's a faster way to text to your friends, and if you're in a hurry, you can do it way faster then those normal cell phones.
-On the front, the number buttons are shaped in a really funky way! I never get tired of the designs, and neither will you! (hopefully!)
-It's the perfect present for your teenager! They just love to text, so this will be easy for them! And their friends will be so jealous!

Cons
-You might get tired of it every once in a while. I mean, who doesn't?

In all, this is the perfect phone for anybody!

LOVE IT!

I love this phone. It is the best phone that I have had yet! And by the way I have had this phone since November 1rst

Pros:
Great Battery Life...I have sent 300 text messages in the past two days and it still has two bars left

The camera is great...The pictures look very good and professional which is surprising on a cell phone

The keyboard is perfectly sized and it is easy to text fast on it

good crisp speaker phone

It's thin =)

Menu options are really cool (Menu Layouts)

Cons:
Phone is lags when I am about to get a picture message

Slow in the notepad and while writing a pix or flix message but not that slow

Sometimes the ok button on the front doesn't work but i just open the phone and close or press it a few times or press another button and it's fine

OVERALL: I reckomend this phone to big texters and it is a excellent phone in my opinion

overall nice phone

i gave this lg a 5 cause lg did something nice to one of there phones. the made it look alot better and the expensive look is an a+ for lg.

pros:
keyboard evenly spaced. im still getting used to the keyboard since the space key is in an odd place.
nice camera even without any flash.
love the music player it can support mp3,wma files
reception is fantastic havent dropped a call and that is rare for lg phones.
ringtones are loud and u can set it to where u can have the phone ringing and vibrateing at the same time.

cons:
i rally dont have any complaints except for the space key being placed where it is.

all in all this is an excellent phone for anyone that doesnt want a smartphone but they do want the full keyboard for texting that is y i got it all i look for in my phones is for the texting feature so this knocks any other carriers phones out of the water and trust me i have used from basic phones to smartphones so i do know wat i am talking about.

THE perfect phone for Verizon :)

I am one of those people who are NEVER happy with a phone...I hate to admit it but we all have issues and that's mine...I'm very picky about stuff I buy. Let me just say this...This phone ROCKS!!!

I would suggest combining it with the Body Glove (comes with a removeable belt clip)...It gives it a nice textured feel, and definately protects the phone. In addition, all of the features and buttons are accessible with the glove on...You can get these for about $15 or less on EBay, or your local Verizon Corporate store usually stocks them from what I found out. The Body Glove item # is 9085901.

OK, on with the phone...there are TONS of nice features...lets see...the camera rocks...2MP is plenty...takes great pictures both in light and dark conditions...most cell cameras suck in night conditions...not this one...the phone is very clear...the speakers are quite loud...the phone is very easy to set up...the keypad is actually big enough to type on...not like those useless Blackberry devices where they charge you $40 a month for the so-called internet...which is soooo slow...what a ripoff that is...If youre a person who just wants to talk and text (a lot), then this is the phone for you...

I cannot say enough about what a good job they did designing this device...good job to LG and good job to Verizon for offering it...after 8 years with Alltel, I had to go to Verizon simply because Alltel's phone selection was about as bad as it gets...

On top off all of that, Verizon offered a great employee discount thru Aultman Hospital (Canton, OH)....22% off the monthly bill, and 25% off of equipment and accessories...can't beat it!!

LG enV2

PROS:

Excellent keyboard

AMAZING battery life (which was huge for me)

Front screen isn't too small to get to the functions you need b/c the fonts are small enough to see a bunch of things.

Number keys feel great to the touch

The dual locking system (in the settings) is great so you don't make calls in your pocket.

Bunch of decent ring tones and UI settings (I know, rare coming from Verizon)

Won't be a fingerprint magnet like a lot of phones on the market right now.

LG quality...the equipment is solid, one of LG's biggest pluses when they build for VZW.

CONS:

Vibrate is a bit weak (love that strong buzz of the past, like on the LG 8100)

No flash is just, well, stupid.

OVERALL:
If you don't want to pay for BB services, this phone is a great choice. If you had flip phones and are sceptical about going back to a candybar, have no fears, this phone will put those concerns to rest.

I had a samsung phone for a few years. Coming back to an LG, I realize the importance of having a phone that functions properly and feels solid in your paw is all about.

I LOVE this phone

The best things about this phone is the keyboard its amazing the keys are close together without making u feel cramped. The camera is also a good thing it takes really good pictures. Now I can say that i love the outside display the keys are a very good size and its easy to get to the things you need to on the outside.the screen on the inside is dreamfully big which is really good.

some of the bad things include the fact that the camera dosen't have a flash so in dark situations it is hard to get good pictures. The outside screen is a little to small. The vibrate is horribly weak it is the worst thing about this phone and when I recieve a text and the phone is in my pocket chances are your not going to feel it vibrate

Over all the good things are amazing and the bad things you should be able to live with I think this is one of the best phones on the market today.

LOVE IT!!!!!

Best Phone; Solid, Great Quality

Dec 25, 2008 by PeterParker

I bought one for all four of us in the family. The wife and kids love it. They are avid texters, and tell me it's the best phone that they've ever used.

I've used cell phones for many years, but I'm just getting into texting, but the full keyboard makes it easy for me.

I also like the size. It's not too thin. We use the Body Glove cover and it makes the enV2 very comfortable to hold, and it feels indestructible.

I had this for two months and thought it was good. Then, I got a Blackberry Storm, and realized that the enV2 isn't good; it's great!. Luckily, I was able to return the Storm and go back to the enV2.

PRO'S
* Quick response to keystrokes
* Clear voice calls
* Strong signal
* Great battery life
* Full keyboard
* Size - fits in my hand nicely
* Large numeric keys on front
* Choice of ringtones
* Talking Caller ID
* High-resolution internal screen

CON'S
* No profiles
* Alarm sounds dependent on overall volume
* No contact management software
* No USB - microUSB cable for computer
* 2.5 mm headphone jack

Features I haven't used (very much), yet:

* Music
* Video
* Photos
* E-mail ($5/month)
* VZ Navigator ($10/month)

Compliments to Verizon Wireless for having superior coverage in my area (East Orlando). I tried AT&T and T-Mobile with bad luck. My neighbors have tried Sprint with bad luck.

I have had so many phones that you wouldn't believe it if i told you ever phone that I've had. If you realize how old the first EnV was, i had that for about a month when it first came out, but didn't like it. So i bought the LG Chocolate. Not the newer ones, the first one they made. And that was right after the first Chocolate came out, so I've had that phone for a long time. I just got the enV2, and it is a HUGE improvement from the first enV. And also a big upgrade from the LG Chocolate.

Good things:

-I love the keyboard. I read a review that said the spacebars were annoying, but they don't annoy me at all. It's a nice phone for constant texters like me.

-I like the large internal screen. It's nice that it's so big and very bright.

-The camera has good quality for a phone camera. That's all i ask.

-The external keys are large which makes it easy to text without flipping the phone open.

Bad things:

-The external screen is somewhat small, so it's not good if you're going to use that screen for long periods of time without flipping the phone open, but it's fine if you just need to do something quick like look at caller ID or read a text.

-The camera doesn't have a flash, but that's normally not a problem.

-Long distance calls are more muffled than normal.

Nothing to EnV here

Dec 16, 2008 by BriannaCherie

I have had an EnV2 since July of 2008, it is now December and I am on my 4th one! Each has lasted a little over a month, the front keys have stopped working for me and numerous people I know, that has happened to 3 of the phones I got, and this fourth one will not charge, I am a little upset that Verizon replaces a defective phone with a certified used phone, it really doesn't solve the problem.
