Dec 20, 2008 by Rican

The only thing is the battery is doesn't last long, LG or whoever made this phone should of install a better battery........Im serious it doesn't last long I have to charge it every day. Does anyone out there can give me some tips on what can I do to save more juice with this battery. I just bought on Nov 28th.

Overall this phone has been a really good phone. It has great reception everywhere I go and a good call connection.
First I would like to start off with the pros.

Pros:
-Touch screen a QWERTY keyboard that work great.
-Good for web browsing
-Mp3 player. I not longer need my zune. I bought a microSD card and synced it with my computer and use this device instead.
-Good sounding speakers, when opened.
-Battery life, isn't the best, but I have had worse.

Cons:
-No multitasking. You cannot listen to music while doing other things like text messaging and web browsing.
-No flash on the camera.
-The camera takes poor quality pictures in low light.
-Phone has frozen and restarted a few times.

Overall this phone is a good phone if you enjoy messaging and web browsing and do not need a smart phone!

GREAT PHONE.

I lost my red Flipshot from Verizon so I replaced it with the Voyager. I have been using it for awhile now and so far so good. If you are a big text messaing fan then it makes it even better. The QWERTY keyboard is awesome! Compared to other phones from Verizon, it's worth all the money. The size of the phone isn't too small but it works for me because it fits just right in my hand.

PROs:
- EXCELLENT camera quality.
- Touch screen + QWERTY keyboard.
- GREAT for texting.
- Provides MobileTV.

CONs:
- Random lagging.
- Has to flip open to qwerty keyboard to play games.

Overall, compare to the price they offer right now it's an amazing phone. Also, I personally really like the design of the phone.

Absolutely Satisfied

I've had the voyager now for about a week and I absolutely love it! I have made it a point to compare features (and try them out) on this phone with my previous phone from my last carrier; which is still activated for a couple more days. There isn't one feature this phone is not capable of not only performing, but surpassing of my last.

The quality of the workmanship of this phone is top notch. I did get the silicone case and screen protectors however, it seems to be pretty durable none the less, which for me is a huge plus. The touch screen is effortless and on both screens the resolution is brilliant. The phone is extremely user-friendly (even though the qwerty keypad has been a little strange getting used to; that's just me though).

I do use data quite a bit and it is truly one step shy of a pda. It does everything I need and want; e-mail, limited sync, media and backup.

Overall a great device.

Pro's:
-Made Sturdy
-User Friendly
-Wide spectrum of functions
-Excellent signal strength
-Sharp looking device
-Screen resolution is brilliant
-nice-sized qwerty keypad; easy not to hit two buttons at once like some others
-Fun
-Sound quality is very clear (referring both to call quality and media such as ringtones or music etc...) Too loud and it does sound a little distorted with music, but hey we aren't dealing with a bose here.

Con's:
-No flash on camera
-I can't seem to find a way, if there is one to use speakerphone without it being open
-A bit hard to see screens in sunlight

Neutral:
-Battery overall is very good, but with use of a lot of internet/data (downloads, e-mail, some media etc...) it definitely needs to be recharged at the end of the day. (Texting and calls are not as draining).

Wonderful at 1st but FAILS soon after

Oct 19, 2008 by pinkmexicana702

I have been with Verizon for over 8 years and all of the phones have been wonderful. The only exception to this would be the Voyager. Although it is a wonderful phone to text with on the long run this phone really has given me problems. I have given this phone a low rating because of its lack of performance and durability.

1.The keys begin to get stuck and not function properly.
2.The lights on the keys begin to not function (certain lights are lit while others are not),
3.Phone turns off randomly without being in use or being dropped or any sort of discrepancy.

At the beginning this phone was wonderful and seemed to work perfect but as time went on (6 months)all of these glitches began to happen. I thought that perhaps it was just a defective phone but I am now on the 4th phone and the same problems persist. I am currently in the process of getting a new phone with the hopes that it will no longer give me problems.

Aside from being a large phone it has given me plenty of problems but overall the phone is OK. The speakers on the phone are really bad. Music being played loud hears horrible and high ringers make the speakers tremble. Last but not least there is NO flash and that makes this phone and overall OK but very defective one for ME.

A solid feature-heavy phone

I've owned and used this cell since 5-08, so I know how it works. Is it an iPhone killer? No, their in different classes, but it does more than hold it's own against it.

Pros: Versatile & solidly built.
Good signal strength
USB mode charges cell and needs no
additional software to get ur pix & flix
off of it. Or to put videos ONTO it. ;-)
Three keyboards! (physical AND 2 virtual, a
regular one and a T3 vertical one)
A good (for a cell) web browser. It allows
two types of browsing: 'standard' (faster)
browsing OR 'Optimized' browsing (slower)
that looks more like a home pc's browser
rendering. Your NOT forced to go just to
cellphone designed websites. Stores more
Favorites than many cell browsers.
You can watch YouTube videos or Vcast
videos, if you have the right plan
options.
Music Player supports playlists and has a
'Shuffle' feature. And unlike an iPhone,
you CAN add more memory to this cell.
Although 184mb is built-in!
Autofocus 2mp camera shoots the best still
shots of any cell I've owned so far (5).
Shoots video up to the amount of memory
you have installed (1 hr+) or 30 seconds
so you can cell-mail it. NO video shooting
on the iPhone.
Two large beautiful screens of the same
resolution. 2x more wallpaper than many
cells!
Heavy Duty battery option. NOT on iPhone!*
Stereo Bluetooth. Control music from
headset.*
Text to Speech: Can read your Texts for
you!

Cons: Touchscreen requires more pressing
than 'touching'.
Touchscreen locks screen too quickly
after you've unlocked it. (CAN be
disabled)
Touchscreen can get 'confused' from too
many keypresses and 'lock up' (rare).
Solution: Switch to the internal screen
and continue doing what you were doing.
The outer screen will reset on it's own.
NO 3mp camera OR flash OR lens cover.
No speakerphone with flip closed.
Ringtones can sound muted since cell uses internal speakerphone for speaker.

more pros than cons...tell you anything?

so, LG has done it again. my very first phone from going on 10 years ago was an LG and i've never had anything but since. The voyager is remarkable. A job very well done. Now, lets get to the meat of the beast...

Pros:
-touch screen is modern, and stylish and also surprisingly responsive
-keyboard is easy to use and well spaced
-camera is almost as good as your going to get from a phone
-internet and media center is quick and a breeze to use
-great signal (w/ Verizon)...hasn't dropped a call yet
-plenty of space for songs, ringtones, and pictures
-navigation works as good, if not better than any aftermarket GPS
-battery strength is outstanding. haven't seen the phone turn off yet (excpet for activation)
-internal speakers are loud, and clear

Cons:
-No external speakers
-no flash on camera
-tricky, at first, to text with touch screen, but anything smarter than an apple will get it in less than a day
-ringers aren't the loudest out there

All in all, this is a GREAT phone. Anybody in the market for a cool, stylish, dependable, functioning phone should most definitely take a look at the Voyager.
