T9 or Predictive Text?
Can someone please tell me how to turn off the annoying predictive text? I am always having to go back and clear because it picks the wrong word 99% of the time.

Chose this over the Razr2 because glass
finish of Razr2 shows fingerprints too
much. Have had it 6 months and very happy.

Good reception and loud ear-piece.
Clear screen, camera and speakerphone.
Fast command processing - no lags!
Only two things I'd change are bigger
outside screen (should be as big as the
dark outline of the cutout) and extended
battery. Black hard leather case looks
slick too; kind of matches inside black
keypad. Girlfriend has the Chrome-Lavender
which has to be the best looking chick-
phone ever. LONG LIVE MOTO !!!
So far I love it
I just got this phone Friday and I love it...ring tone is loud, very loud which I love, voice piece is loud too,and I love that it's thin and the backlight is blue my old phone they were white and very hard to see during the day, love the Ruby Red and I purchased a clear plastic clip on cover to protect it at a local outlet store in my mall here...the screen is bright and big , only con is I can't change the right soft key and the outside screen is not bright enough but that doesn't really bother me....other wise I would recommend this phone to any one....

OK, I really wanted to love this phone. It's sleek and has plenty of bells & whistles for a non-smart phone. I waited a long time to upgrade from my old, clunky Moto.
I'm on my 3rd v3xx from ATT, and I'm getting ready to switch to either the Curve or Moto Q.
I didn't switch carriers and I didn't move or change the places from where I make and receive calls. My old phone was fantastic in terms of call clarity and lack of dropped calls. The moment I switched phones (upgraded technology??), the call quality declined noticeably and there was a huge increase in dropped calls. Incredibly annoying. I've tried 3 v3xx's with no resolution.
PROS:
slick design and features
decent camera
CONS:
poor reception (LA, westside)
frequent dropped calls
difficult to hear clearly unless phone is positioned exactly right.
I would NEVER buy this phone again. If I had enemies, I would buy it for all of them.
MOTO, You've Outdone Yourself
First of all, this is coming from the perspective of a regular phone, NOT a PDA.
This is my 4th Motorola and by far, this has been the ABSOULTE BEST regular phone I've owned and operated on the AT&T network.
I pulled 3 warranty swaps on my RAZR V3 to get this, and I was a bit hesitant at first due to the increasing problems from the other, but decided to give this one a chance based on my past experience with Moto's.
PROS
-Signal has been NOTHING short of outstanding. Places where signal was marginal on my V3 was significantly better. Unless I was in a dead zone, I literally can pick up anywhere
- External key lock. This occasionally annoyed me on the V3, so adding this was a nice touch and really helped from keeping the phone ringing at an inopportune moment.
- Memory storage. The phone has a MASSIVE 60MB just alone and expands 2GB via micro SD. I literally have ALMOST 200 ringtones and 90 some pictures. For those to keep A LOT of times, you'll love this phone.
- 3G. Haven't been near a 3G area with unlimited internet yet, but performance seemed ok the couple of times I used it.
- Loud ringer for those who need something to hear.
- A few minor drops haven't phased it much. So if you're lightly abusive, the phone will be able to take what you throw at it. Be gentle regardless please...
-Bluetooth just as simple to use on the V3, nothing new here.
-The UI is MUCH improved with significant less lag than the V3.
CONS
-SD slot behind the battery cover. Not a huge issue...
-Battery is a little disappointing. This is due to MASSIVE text usage.
-Heavy texters beware. I've ONLY had it since July and my keypad is severely worn out. Your back, 2, and 5 keys will be the first to go and may show green discolorazation.
A few minor CONS aside, this is hands down the absolute BEST phone I've ever used with AT&T. T9 is great for texting and makes it a breeze.
For a regular phone, this is a VERY solid recommendation. Get it, NOW!!
Best phone I've ever own!
Just bought it this week and I love it! I have the Ruby Red with the Chrome trim and works just as good as it looks! Picked it up at Kmart for $28.64 and the att store wanted $199.00 and I've been with cingular/att for over eight years!
i love this phonw
i love this phone..it was great.i got it because my uncle had a extra one and i didn't want my phone anymore..so i fell in lvoe with this phone..it was the best phone ever,it lasted months before it broke. the screen fell off after falling on the ground. don't get me wrong..it has been dropped so many times..and even in a cooler.this hpone was the best!!! you should really get it!!
Great 3G phone
In general, a great phone
Pros:
- build quality (V3xx platinum) feels very sturdy
- Excellent screen
- Rubberized keypad is nice
- USB chargable, can charge from PC, Blackberry charger, BT charger
- Audio quality is VERY good on both 3G and GSM.
- Phone can be 'modded' - I disabled AMR-half rate codec for even better sound quality
- 3G to GSM handoffs work (I returned 3 Samsung ZX-20s for this issue)
- Many cases/accessories for this phone (extremely difficult for ZX-20)
- Tether with standard USB cable (again ZX-20 required special cable)
- Decent battery life.
- Decently loud audio
Cons:
- Getting to voicemail with the exception of voice command method is tedious (should be in the 'Options' softkey
- Speakerphone only works when the phone is open
This phone has many features that I don't use, but my PRIMARY uses are:
1. Clear / undropped calls (works VERY well)
2. 3G for voice / data tethering (DSL backup)
