Very solid handset, I like.
I have had my Razr for about a week now and like what I have seen so far.
Pros:
Killer looks.
Speakerhone available before connection completes.
Long range Bluetooth works smoothly.
GPRS has connected as high as 70kbps to my Dell Axim via Bluetooth.
Cons:
Battery lasts no more than 2 days max(but I just charge it every night, will get a spare).
No swivel clip available at release(not really a phone prob?)
One Word: CLASS
Perfectly designed, sleek, cool.
Just finished testing Nokia 7610, a nice phone, but the V3 has it beat by a mile.
Easy to use, good sound quality, attention-grabbing.
Expensive? Sure. But you either want to spend for the best of you don't. If not, fine...but complaining about the price is silly. It's the cost of being an early adopter.
VZW RAZR
For all of those who priase cingular for finally releasing such a great phone, introduce the vzw version. Cingular rushed the release to be the first, while VZW heald out. And man did it pay off. Improved camera quality with video capture, and a much needed screen resolution upgrade, V-cast(we're watching Comedy Central and ESPN while you guys are listening to your itunes! which i have been doing on my v710 since last october), 8x the memory of cingular's version, a much improved OS, and oh yes, it works on the best network around. For those complaints i didnt respond to, i.e. hard to find in pocketbooks.....well that speaks for itself.
P.S. did everyone hear about Cingular getting kicked out of the upstate NY Better Business Bureau? apparently they dont consider cingular a reputable company...fancy that.
Its a Great Phone
OK, Yes, there are phones that do more than this phone, however everything this phone does, it does well. I get better reception on the V3 than any other GSM phone I have owned. The market I am in only has ATT towers so there is no real benefit to the merger, but still my reception is much better. It has a great screen and easy user interface.
One word: Superb
I don't really have anything to say except for the title, this phone is excellent, I've owned a Nokia 3390 and a Motorola V60i and even though those were good phones this surpasses their performance by far, unlike most people, i find the price to be a BIG pro instead of a con, because it makes the phone less popular, only few are willing (or capable) of paying the price of the phone, which makes it exclusive.
So my suggestion is: if you're looking for the coolest, trendiest, most elegant phone which also has an amazing performance, get the Moto RAZR V3, if price is important for you then go somewhere else, that way only few will have them, and make the phone even cooler than it already is.
Cuts me deep!
This phone is CRAP!!!
my first one lasted less than 5 days, they replaced that one with the newer model.
i am the 3rd person i know that has taken this phone back for being faulty with water damage, screen doesn't work, battery loses charge.
This phone is 6 months old and I, like my friends took great care of our phone, and to be blamed for not looking after it...SUCKS ARSE!!!
Motorola's attitude has ensured that they will NEVER get money from me again, ever!
The Perfect Phone For Anybody Except Kids
I have had my razr phone for two months and so far it has been perfect i have not had any problems out of it.There are a few cons with it though i will tell you about those in my list.
Pros:
Beautiful Design
Great reception
And Just Cool
Cons:
THERE ARE NOT ANY CONS I WAS JUST KIDDDING
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA............................................
Not bad, but could be better
probably the most anticipated of all phones, I thought I'd give it a try. Overall its a great phone, yeah its bigger in some ways then other phones but until you use it you really don't appreciate the sizing of this phone. when its in your pocket you literally don't even know its there. The features in the phone are pretty good, the internal display is amazing, its clear and crisp... almost laptop quaility. the outside display is not very good and is very small, it takes away from the overall appearance of the phone.
I am eagerly anticipating the CDMA version up here in Canada. Because lets face it, GSM is great, but CDMA is better... especially if its released as a evdo phone.
Not just a phone!
Design-
A very solidly built phone! It may look fragile but it's a very sturdy phone. The keypad gives it the perfect look.
Features-
The RAZR has some pretty good features. It has a VGA 640 x 480 Camera. My model lacks video capture, but newer models have it. While it doesn't have video capture it does have video playback. While the RAZR doesn't have as many features as some of the newer phones, its bluetooth is flawless.
Battery Life-
The battery life is very good, but it also depends on how much you use the phone.
Call Quality- The call qaulity on this phone is one of the best that i've ever heard. Theres no humming or anything that you usually get with other phones.
Overall Opinion-
While the RAZR has some flaws, it has to be one of the best phones that I've ever used. Buy it and you will not be sorry.
great phone
Great phone, just picked one up from www.saberpoint.com in blue color and it's very cool. Thin form factor, good camera, SCREEN IS AMAZING!!! External display could be a bit better but it will do. Cool blue color makes it different than the black or silver colors. Well worth the price and definitely a head turner
