Micro card software

I am definitely getting one of these new phones this week. The question I have is, do I have to buy the music essentials software to play music on this phone, or can I just download music from my PC to the card, put it in the phone, and it plays? I have the kit from the 8300 I have now, but told it's a different USB cord. Also has anyone tried the wireless stereo headphones with it. Thinking about buying those too. Any comments would be appreciated.

Yeah, you only need the micro sd card, and card reader, unless your computer has a built in card reader. I have over 300 songs on my VX8600 right now, and I haven't used the data cable to get any of them.

OK, I thought maybe the software put the music in a different format for the phone to read. At least I'll just have to buy the card now, Thanks for the input.

It used to, but this phone supports both WMA and MP3 like the Chocolate, so no, no cable needed.
