Hi
I'm a new owner of an Alltel LG8600 and need help figuring out how to download ringers from a website. I spent an hour at my local Alltel store and he couldnt even tell me how to bookmark a page. I've googled some info and it talks about a USB cable, Jumpmusic and Bitpim. I'm not tech-savvy but any info would be greatly appreicated! Thanks

I just got the same phone from Alltel, too. The guy that gave it to me said you can't make your own ringtones, but you can. If you have a memory card in your phone and a card reader for your computer it's easy. All you have to do is put an mp3 file in your "LG_MEDIA/other_sounds" folder on the card. After that put the card in the phone and go to the "Menu" and look in "My Media" then go to "Audio" and then the "Downloaded" folder. Select the mp3 that you want and move that file from the card to the phone memory. Now you can set that mp3 as a ringer or whatever else you want. I hope that helps.
