License Acquisition Failure? Help!

hbb

Hello- I have an 8600 and bought the micro sd card, formated it, put some music on the card by dragging and dropping music from my computer into the My Music folder. I put the card back in and can see the music in the folder, but when I go to play it, the phone gives me the error message "license acquistiion failure" and refuses to play the music. Is there any way around this? I'm not sure what format the music is in- I took it off an old CD that was made long before MP3 players.
Any advice appreciated. TIA!

Change to a provider that allows you to place your OWN music on your OWN phone.

same thing happened to me. It was with the songs that I had purchased online, the ones I used a cd for worked fine. You need to have the vcast music essentials kit, then it will also transfer the license with the music. For the computer experts, their might be another way to do it thru the computer, but for me, this was the easiest way to do it.
