Right now I am trying to decide between a few phones. I originally thought about buying the treo because it woudl enable me to get rid of my palm pilot. I never thought of the enV until now. I know the enV is a smart phone, but can I sync with my mac (or palm program) and load my contacts, tasks, notes and calendar on it? If I dont get a smart phone, I am also considering the LG 860O, Motorola Slvr or Krzr.

All input is appreciated

Thank you!!!

The EnV is not a smart phone. The only thing different about it than other phones is that is has a QWERTY keyboard. There are no smart phone apps on this phone. As far as the KRZR I think that it is to much for what it really is. It is the same thing as the razr except for the touch keys on the front and that it is a little smaller but other than that it is the same thing as the RAZR. I cannot comment on the SLVR because it has not came out yet. I have had a chance to play with the sprint verison and the menu is really slow, but I have never ran into that problem with a verizon phone. It will probably be the same thing as the razr except in a different form. I can upgrade my phone in a couple of months and I have been really leaning toward t...

I am also considering the 8600. I have considered the KRZR but it is , in fact, just a glorified Rzr. The Env also was a consideration for me but I'd ONLY get that if I were a big text message person which I am not. I like the chocolate, but do not think that I'd get used to the touch sensitive keys all the time and it kind of bugs me that I'd also have to get an upgrade in order to have a speakerphone work on it.

SO, I am getting the 8600 after I get some feedback on my first question about the looks of it.

I had the chocolate it sucked. The sensors were annoying and sometimes act up. The buttons were so close together texting and dialing was difficult (i even have small fingers). FYI, the new chocolates have speaker phone already...anyways this speaker phone is useless but everything else works perfectly. 😉

I am leaning towards the 8600 as well.. my only issues are the horrible speaker phone and the weaker battery. Everyone says that the krazr has longer battery life. I also like the size of the krzr. BUT I prefer the LG UI better - more bells and whistles. The most important thing is reception and battery life since my cell is my primary phone...

Thank you!
