LG VX-8600 / AX-8600
stereo output on standard headphones?
Purchased a 1 gb sd card and I loaded my lg vx-8600 phone with pictures and mp3's. Purchased a headphone adapter at Radio Shack so I can use standard wired stereo headphones. I only hear music from one of the earpieces. The guy at Radio Shack says the output is not in stereo that's why music only comes from 1 side. Is that possible? If not, then maybe someone can tell me if I have to change a setting. If yes, then how can this phone be marketed as a music player when it's not stereo.

I used to work for Radio Shack and I experienced this problem on many different devices. Usually, you can use an adapter that plugs in and transforms the signal into a stereo one, but phones nowadays are so proprietary that generic accessories often times won't work. My understanding is that there IS an adapter for sale somewhere on ebay (I saw it under a previous post here on Phonescoop) that will plug in directly and give you the ability to use regular headphones. As best as I can remember, it wasn't expensve either. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. The Radio Shack adapter had 1 channel sound, but some adapters offer 2 channel? I assume the lg vx8600 outputs the music in stereo? Is there a headphone that plugs into this phone that has 2 channel sound? Is it only available from Verizon or is there a 3rd party headphone?
