downloading mp3's to phone...USB or bluetooth?

Okay, just got my 8600 which i got expressly for the purpose of downloading/listening my mp3s. So what is my best for getting music onto the phone?
A USB cable for the phone and bitpim? Some sort of bluetooth device (which one)? A micro SD card reader for my PC? Something else?

I'm looking for the cheapest setup but I would be willing to pay more if file transfer speeds of one method is significantly faster.

On a different topic. How much SD RAM would you guys suggest? I was leaning towards a 1GB card. Too little or too much?

Thanks for helping this newbie.

Very simple:
Buy the largest micro Sd you can afford AND the adapter (and the reader if you don't have a slot on your laptop (I do) or desktop).

Thats all you need, you can then simply drag & drop all your music (or pictures) onto the sd card, then put it in your phone and you're golden - then you can decide what to transfer ONTO your phone or leave on the card. You can play tunes from either.

Thats the easiest, most stable method.
