LG VX-8600 / AX-8600
WAP Homepage
Can you set the WAP homepage for this phone?
On my VX0-8100 I can go to :
Press Menu
0 (from the contact menu)
000000 (secret code)
8 - Wap setting
4- Homepage
and change the homepage. This also works on VX-8300.
Have they retained this option?
I have my own WAP homepage that I use.

My 8600 won't let me change the homepage. It won't let me erase or type anything. can you tell me how?

real shame. they obviously disabledit to stop people changing the proxy settings to get free internet, but ruined it for people that mgiht want to set the homepage.
obviously shooptek just checked to see the option was there.
i just finally got the phone and found this out. quite annoying

You need to edit a file using bitpim...
I can't elaborate right now because I am not at my home pc...but, a search on 8600 WAP Homepage would probably find it easily on howard forums.

No, bitpim works fine with this phone. You just need to manually select VX8500 because VX8600 isn't known to bitpim yet.

some one sent this link to me its for the 8300, but it talks about changing internal binary file. and it should work on the 8600. i sent this to someone else and they said it worked.
