Just Ordered

Hi Everyone,
Just ordered the vx8600. Also got the belt holster and car recharger.
1. Anyone use the holster yet? How is it?
2. Is there a desktop stand out to hold the phone when re-charging it at home?
Thanks,
MIF.

I have the holster and hate that the only way it fits is by putting the phone in backwards, and you only see the back of the phone. This is being returned for the leather case. At least with that, I can remove the front part of the leather case.

Hi bkw, I think I recall you saying that in another post. This is surprising to me but I am ok with that, maybe it is even better, as the outside screen is better protected? I looked online at the LG website and wonder if the pouches would be a better way to go?

Well I have the leather case. I just use it with the face of the leather case off so I can use the clip, and the front of the phone shows at the same time.

Does that mean you use both the holster and the leather case? If that is true, I never would have thought of that. Is the face of the leather case removeable, or did you have to cut it out - sorry I have no idea how it looks.

I ordered mine this morning but have been checking AccessoryGeeks.com periodically for the clear Cozip case for this phone. I have the Cozip for my Razr and I love it! I'm not a holster type of girl so I just need something to protect the phone while in my purse and the Cozip cases get the job done and keep the phone totally scratch free. As far as a desktop charger, I've always bought mine (previously had one for my Samsung A530 and am using the one for my Razr) from DayDeals.com. I've never had problems with either desktop charger.

Thanks NYCgirl,
Not a holster type of girl?, thanks for that, it made me laugh 🤣 I also bought a desktop charger for my Razr (don't remember where) but mit might have been daydeals.com. I will check on them and maybe even go with the Cozip and become a not a holster type of guy (which I currently am as my RAZR holster cracked). Please let me know if you see a desktop charger for the vx8600 (I will check daydeals in just a bit).
Thanks,
MIF

I sent an email to AccessoryGeeks.com requesting an ETA on their supply of cases for the vx-8600 and just received an email that the ETA for cases is about 2 weeks and the cozip that I specifically inquired about in about 3 weeks.

DayDeal already has some cases, I'm thinking that these are more "universal" and made to fit phones that meet certain dimension requirements. I asked them about the clear cases and they said I'd have to check back periodically as they had no specific info for me.

Of the clear cases, I've used both on my RAZR but prefer the cozip ones, they cost a tad more but seem to be a bit thicker.

Thanks, NYCgirl.
I am going to wait for the cases and go caseless(sp?) now. Please let me know if you find anything - I think I am going to go with a pouch, and also get the cozip case to keep fingerprints off the phone.

OK. Daydeal.com now has the clear plastic cases for $12.99! Not sure what the problem is with AccessoryGeeks.com and their cozip cases. I assume they'll be coming soon but in the meantime, I've ordered mine from Daydeal this morning.

I suspect these may go quickly so........😉

Just curious.... what color? clear or smoke?

Don't you think they'll degrade the exceptional look of the phone?

Don't get me wrong - this phone seems like it will shatter into a million pieces if I drop it outside getting out of my supercrew pickup....

opinions?

I have been using Verizon's leather case till now. I like that it protects from fingerprints, but it makes the phone look and feel huge. This week the screen portion of the leather case started to rip where the plastic screen protector joins the leather outside part. I received the SheildZone protector today ($14.95 or so) and applied the pieces. Although they haven't cured for the recommended 24 hours, I can already tell that the phone is now fingerprint-proof (particularly on the shiny outside part). Application of the pieces is not too difficult, but I ran out of the application solution before applying the side pieces (which I don't really care about). I think that the outside front piece and the inside piece that covers the screen will ...
