i don't like this
I got to mess with a dummy phone - it just came in. I have to say I am unimpressed. The keypad annoys me because you can't "feel" where the buttons are, and no, it isn't thick on the bottom. I think this will be a difficult to use phone.

Yeah that won't bother me I have only like five ppl that I call regularly and I put those peeps on speed dial, i will miss the speaker phone button that is conveniently located on the 8300, but will take the trade off easy for the all the black look, larger screen, and new green bars/themes...going to order it on Wednesday cant wait 🙂 verizon is really kicking ass

I think anyone who really thinks a 15mm thick cellphone should have stereo speakers when its meant to be a portable listening device is a "no brainer". You didn't hear people complaining when Sony's Walkman debuted with no external speakers and you had to listen to it through headphones. If you want a stereo, go buy one.

and i think any phone no matter how thick or thin thats promotoed as a music cell phone should have stereo speakers. other wise dont tout it as a "music phone" music should sound bold and radiant and in stereo, whether its coming out of your phone, or whatever device you use that is classified as a music device. it shouldnt sound tinny and tired coming out of one mono speaker.
if you want to throw one mono speaker on a phone dont classify it as a music phone. case in point the vx8500.

of all the possible features to have on a music phone, why whine about stereo speakers!?! as other posters said, it will be fine without them. of all the music phones out there, less and less of them are having stereo speakers, cuz the truth is it doesn't really make a noticeable difference and is actually just a marketing gimmick to make ppl think the sound is better.
i would rather have them use 1 speaker so that the phone can be smaller, have better reception, have better battery life, better camera, better bluetooth, more memory, or anything like that. all way more important than a 2nd speaker.

The iPod is considered a music device. Apple has sold MILLIONS of them, and last time I checked, there are no Stereo Speakers on an iPod. Unless the new iPod Mini has stereo speaks built into it, but . . . well . . . nope, no speakers. So that makes you an idiot. Nuff said! 🤣
