Missing Features....

I've been waiting for this phone to come out. I'm happy to see bluetooth and from the pictures it looks like you can actually watch videos on the external display now.. I'm not trying to be picky either but it's missing two things the MM-9000 had which I liked, 260K color display. Also where is the Speaker Independant Voice Dialing? On the Sanyo site it said up to 30 entries only. That sucks because Speaker Independant Voice Dialing works well with Bluetooth. What's wrong with you Sanyo?!?!?!? That would have been the perfect phone for me... ☹️

Another thing the 9000 (and the 5600) had that this phone is missing is some kind of removeable memory. What is the point of having a music player if you're limited to the Sprint Music store or 60mb of your own MP3's?
Sanyo is always behind the game. I talked to a sanyo rep a while ago about why they didn't have anything with bluetooth or on deck with it (before the katana came out) and the ethos was that bluetooth was a dying technology and that Sanyo didn't feel it was important to add the technology to their phones. Same thing a year or so before that with evdo; the rep said that evdo was only an experimental technology and that when it is proven to work they will pick it up.
Come on sanyo, catch up or shut down.

Sorry I must of sent before I was done and don't see an edit.. It was talked about on the Sprint forum but I wasn't sure about this speaker independant dialing what it was? Did the 8300 have it or is it a blue tooth thing? I know I can record names like mom or home and then say them and it will dial the number still from the headset right? I didn't use that much now but if the phone is in my purse I guess I will.. But you say you can only do 30? I am going to read my book right now can't turn back on my phone till 1:15am and it's 12:55 I can't wait to play with it..

You have a phone with speaker dependent voice dialing.

This means you have to train the phone to recognize certain names in your phone book.

Speaker independent voice dialing means that you don't have to train anything. Phones with this have advanced software installed to recognize voice patterns in any voice, without the need to train the software.

Some of the sanyo's have had this, and I don't believe this is one of them. Most samsungs have this built in through their association with VoiceSignal.
