This is just another Sanyo rehash (using the same form factor and button layout) that FINALLY adds Bluetooth. Sorry, but the Bluetooth onslaught hit Sprint last year with Samsung and LG leading the pack. Now with Moto hitting Sprint in a month, Sanyo is gonna be in DEEP trouble...

Well, motos suck and the Katana had bluetooth over a month ago... Sanyo has a lot of loyal customers that don't care that much about styling. Honda cars were ugly for a long time, did their sales hurt?

For a while Honda sales did hurt, it was their performance that sold cars. Fuel efficiency, etc. So a product can be ugly and sell well, it just needs to perform.
If I look at the 8400 next to the Samsung a920, I'm going to go for the Samsung, it's only $20 more, and offers speaker independent voice dialing, removeable memory, a nicer screen, and better speakers. I don't care what it looks like. If you put it next to the fusic, which has a $30 mail-in rebate, the 8400 looks even worse, The fusic is thinner, offers stereo bluetooth, an FM transmitter, and changeable faceplates.
When the kay-razors or krayzors (how ever it's pronounced) come out, this will be the red-headed step child of the group.

What a disaster how dare you! you can never compare a LG to a sanyo especially if they have simliar feautures! now what you named above is true but there are some facts you clearly left out A)there will never be any competition to RF signal strength to sanyo and thats the most important thing and from research LG is in last place in that category in the last few years atleast from a SPrint CDMA standpoint B) the Sound quality for MP3's Voice calls and ringtones is horrificly LOW even on the highest volume and sanyo speakers is amazingly loud vivid and clear! C)Sanyo's user interface is always easy to navigate and use and LG's is aaaaa you get the point so in all you gotta realize the 8000 series is always behind the rest of the High End phon...

why did they tie for the JD Power and Associates award for customer satisfaction then?

Samsung is still the better brand, every time I POST (signal strength) test anything other than an A660, it rocks all over the lg and sanyos.
