'turning off'

Ive had the SCP 8400 for 3 months now and am overall very pleased with it. However, sometimes when I close the flip, my phone shuts off. When i open the flip it takes about 3 seconds for it to 'jump start' itself without me having to press anything. Does anyone experience this? I notice it mainly does this when there is no signal. But should it actually turn itself off?

My wife and I both have this phone and do not have the problem you mentioned. However, I just got my brother one and he has that same problem.

I saw some people on Howard's forum talking about it but no solution mentioned.

So I am looking for a solution as well and if you don't mind, please share if you find one.
