Scratches galore..

Well I've had this phone for a little over a month now, and it has a ton of noticeable scratches on it. I even bought the protective case for it the day after I got the phone, but somehow scratches keep popping up on this thing. Whenever the screen's on the scratches almost look like little rainbow trails on my screen. Has anyone ever used products like displex on their screen, or any other methods to remove these scratches. Thanks in advance.

You can polish plastic, each time will remove a small amount of material but if you are doing it by hand you would be unlikely to do any real damage without really overdoing it. It depends on how abrasive your compound is of course
When I worked at a guitar factory we had to wear plastic safety glasses and we would buff scratches off them on the same high speed buffing wheels that we did the guitars on... it worked great. We used white buffing compound, not a cutting wax.
If you are worried about it; there are some less abrasive wax based polishes than brasso too, even a clay bar meant for a car might work.

do you have the black one? i had the white one for about 2 weeks and couldn't see any scratches on it. probably due to the color. not that this helps you. as for displex, that stuff almost always makes things much worse rather than better.

Two words: The InvisibleShield. Best screen protector on the face of the planet, and completely invisible. Won't help with your existing scratches though...

Three words: Best Skins Ever

www.bestskinsever.com - they use the same dupont product that InvShield uses but they have a much better price ($6 + $2 shipping for the chocolate). I have them on my Ipod Video, Ipod Nano and the wifes Q. Very happy with the results. They all fit great.

Also, on my chocolate, you can barely see the scratches on the screen after application. (I had the choco for 4 months before Best Skins had a version for the chocolate, so it got LOTS of small scratches).

Good Luck,

-tmd.

I bought an InvisibleShield (Google it). They're AMAZING - completely invisible and their extremely durable.
