How do you get MP3's as Ringtones on MicroSD.

I am wondering how you can set your current MP3's on the MicroSD as Ringtones, if you can do that. If you can't does anyone know what format or what program you have to use to downsize the music file in order to put it as ringtones. Thanks ahead of time.

You cannot make any file on the micorsd card as ringtones. You have to transfer them via Bluetooth or USB Cable using Bitpim. Mp3s can be used as ringtones, and there are many audio editing softwares to crop songs.

BitPim does not support the LG8500 and its way to much time to configure it by installing about 10 programs on my computer...

I have finaly conected my phone to my computer but I don't know what program to use to upload the cropped mp3 now.

The new version of Bitpim does support the vx8500. You have to manually set it up. If you want an easier way to transfer a mp3 ringtone to your phone then email it. You do this by attaching the ringtone in your email, and sending it to yournumber@vzwpix.com. Just make sure the ringtone is cropped and less than 350kb.

Go to My Bluetooth Places and connect use BT Diag. Check to see what Com Port number it is using, and set that within Bitpim.
