So I have been waiting for this phone since I saw the initial FCC approval on phonescoop.. I read all of the reviews from people who had gotten the phone immediately off the internet. My #1 pet peeve with Verizon phones has been the universal menu with the red banners. Then the 8300 came out and I loved the customization, fun animations, colors for the banners, etc.. I read a couple of reviews on here and everyone said you could customize it like the 8300. I was practically sold. Yesterday I went to the store to try out the demo. I was so disappointed. There were only two fun animations and crummy colors for the banners. I am hoping that this was only on the demo phone, but its probably not. Someone let me know please! Also, how ...

Sorry to disappoint, but the version you played with is the same verison we've been selling like hot cakes. There are of course the two animations you speak of. Jazz - a blue animation which is what I prefer, and Rock n roll which is a red animation that I really don't understand, not much rock n roll to it. And then of course you have your other major themes including blue, tropical, vzw, and business (sorry if i left one out). The banners are going to be the same as well. You'll see grey, orange, red blue and one or two other variations, exact same ones on the lg vx8300. Thanks for the info.. I really just wanted one banner color- purple. The one that is missing âšī¸ It's ok about the animations though because I usually use pics or video for that anyway.. I was just wanting the one with the horoscope signs like the 8300. đ

I try so many phone with flash camera... all of them suck... I try the LG 8500 and I'm very inmpress with the camera. Cause I was taking pics with the phone in a pretty dark area. The pics come out better than I expected. This is a very cool phone. If you like to take pics in the dark. I would recommend bring a camera with you... Camera phone dont take good pics at night...

yes, totally. camera phones are only good when there's sufficient lighting...even if they do have a flash.
