LG VX-8500 Chocolate
after investigating
after thorough investigation of this phone meaning i called lg and verizon wireless numerous times and finding out that basically this is a 400.00 phone that has neither speakerphone nor stereo speakers. i dont believe this phone to me worth it.

I agree. Looks great but those two features really reduce the 'gotta have it' factor. Especially the lack of stereo speakers. My 8300 sounds AWESOME.

not to be an ass, but who listens to music that way. i'll admit its a nice feature to have but i listen to my music through headphones. other people get annoyed if your phone is making noise while theyre doing ****. i don't care if i piss people off, but most others do.

The reason I believe it has neither of these features is because it is made to be more iPod like and with an iPod you listen to the music with earphones, which is why they also introduced the BT stereo earphones, so you can listen to your music and also take calls.

i understand that but i like my ringtones that i create which are mp3 tones to come out of my phone at a stereo speaker quality..... not sound like crap

The sound on the chocolate doesn't sound all that different from my 8100 or the 8300. I notice a slight difference but it isn't that bad.

I just wanted to say something about the stereo speaker everyone is harping about.
The speaker that is build on the back is a high-mid range speaker.
- Stereo sound distinguishes between left and right sound( ex:Vocals left speaker, Music right speaker)
Traditionally you would not want mono because when you play stereo mp3 songs on a mono speaker it will only play one side and not the other.
The speaker on the LG will play stereo mp3 with no loss in audio.

i have the phone it has speaker for the mp3 so you could share music for the ppl around you

This phone actually has stereo speakers i work for a cell phone company and i got to play with this phone first hand and the speakers sound great, but you are right about the speakerphone that is what this phone is lacking
