Talking on the 8500

This is a dumb question but can you talk with the phone slide closed or do you have to have it opened. 🤭

Open or closed. When using closed, I use the voice menu to dial. When receiving a call, I press the lower button on the left side, to "wake up" the phone, and then press the touch sensitive call button on the front to answer.
