Its not fair Verizon and Sprint sold the treo 700 for Around $650 making it a high end luxury phone Business. Now cingular is selling it for just 200 marketed for kids. And the worst part is they do the Exact same thing. There goes Treo from high end to everyone has one like the razr now.

Verizon is better than CIngular. I don't mind paying more if the reception & features are better. That, and the 700w kicks the 680's --- by far!

Yeah I hate that its being marketed to kids now (teenagers).

It used to be a phone for professionals and geeks and now every dumb@$$ with a few hundred bucks owns one. And the calls we get on the are getting worse too. Nothing to make you cringe like someone saying "blue toof" or "master subSIDIARY lock" 😳

If teenagers can handle a PDA/Smartphone, why not?! Goodnees knows that they're doing more advanced things than cell phones nowadays.

Most teenagers don't need these devices. Most, not all, but most, are just texting friends and making calls. a Nokia can do that, why do they need a Palm or PPC? When was the last time you met a teen who needed to edit word docs on their phone or retreive email from a pop server over a thick client on the go?

Also, I know as Advanced Tech Support for a wireless company, I get calls all the time from younger people, not just teens, wanting to know how to "do cool ringers" or "watch TV" on their PPC or Palm. They don't want the functionality of the phone and get mad when their PPC 6700 doesn't do Sprint TV or their Treo can't play the ringers they downloaded from 3gforfree.com

Most just need an mp3 phone, but there are some that could use PDA phones. Then again, the same could be said for adults. Why by a $600-800 just to talk on?
