700p or Motorola Q

In a few days I'll be eligible for New Every 2 with Verizon. I want a phone that will help me keep myself organized. I'm not really interested in having the phone do work that I would do on my computer, I just want to be able to keep up with my contacts, my schedule and have a phone that works. Bluetooth is important to me.

I like that the Q has an airplane mode, I don't fly that much, but when I do that's time to look at the schedule. The 700P doesn't have airplane mode.

What does it mean that the Q isn't a "smartphone" and the 700P is, will I care?

any advice appreciated

also, I'm not planning to switch to a data plan, as I don't want to do any internet apps or emailing on my phone, is that a probhlem?

Hands down go with 700p. If you choose not to, I'll sell you my Q and appurtenances for $150. Even the Sprint service is better. In retrospect it was a no brainer.

I have had nothing but luck with both the phones. But in my opinion if you don't plan on doing all your computer stuff I would suggest the Q. It is easy to work and i think is has just as good of service as the Treo. Every ones opinion is of course going to be different. If Bluetooth is important to you the Q has the bluetooth 2.0 which supports a stereo headset, I do hear that you can download an app for the treo though. It may be a problem for you not getting a data plan because if someone grabs your phone and connects to the interned you could be connected for days and never know it. I have seen $4000 bills. I have sold allot of these two devices and have not figured out how to activate one without a data plan. I know it can be done becau...

the average user rating says it all. moto q is fickle unless you don't mind weekend long projects making it "cool" and useable.

It really depends on the person. A phone that you hate he may love. I like both the phones but with him not using it very much I thought the Q would be better.

I totally agree. The Q tends to freeze and like you said....weekend long projects making it useable. I have owned 4 Q's, myself. I am currently waiting for my Treo 700p to arrive in the mail. Too many problems with the Q. Needed a major UPGRADE.

Don't get the 700P! It is a waste of time and money. It will only give you problems. I've had 5 replacements all year. So have a couple of my friends throughout the country. Check my negative user review for it for more details!
