does anybody know if we can get the AIM software for free on the 700p or do we have to go thru http://www.shapeservices.com/en/products/deta ils.php?product=im&platform=palm

DEPENDS ON WHO YOU HAVE if you have ****ty verizon then no you have 2 buy all that separate aim yahoo and msn messengers dont come with it.. but for sprint yes go to power vision home page then messanger and all three are listed.

search under INTERNET and look for a program called TOCCER. its AIM and it doesnt suck up airtime or use text messaging. ive been using it since february...AHHH WHO NEEDS A SIDE KICK...

sweet! thanks! yeah no kidding those things are a joke ;) does it show up like an application on the phone or are you always gonna have to access the web to get to it? if it doesn't show up like an app is there another way to get it as an ap on the "desktop" or is it always gonna have to be accessed from the web. thanks! 🙂

Hi guys, so if I'm reading this correct...if I download that TOCCER program, I can use AIM for free??? Cause I'm getting my Treo 700p from Verizon this week...and if I can get AIM for free...without having to pay for airtime and text..that will be sweet. I don't plan on using the internet that much....so I won't be buying any data packets packages.

Well...it will be using data so you will be getting charged if you dont get data package. but it doesnt eat minutes or texts. i would suggest getting the data package. You know verizon they charge for every little thing they can.
