Honestly, Does it matter that much that this unit came out now and we should be excited? Sure, if you are a new user or must replace your treo, go ahead and invest but I see no real need to toss a good 650 for what amounts to a very modest incremental upgrade.
This unit must be a stop gap for the upcoming 'Hollywood' model that sports some newer tech features. Or at least that's what the buzz is.
No doubt, the 700P will be $450 or more and still have bugs in it from the 650. Granted the increase in memory is awesome but beyond that there's not much to get excited about. Camera resolution is up but what about CCD quality? The network speed takes advantage of higher sppeds but the jury is still out on how it is going to be rolled out and wh...

i agree these improvements aren't that big the only thing as he said is the camera, memory, and evdo. its still big the camera still has no flash. still has a big attena stub. and it practically looks exactly the same. atleast verizon is getting the motorola q not touch screen but a hell of a lot smaller.

I wouldn't say it is a hell of a lot smaller! The height and width dimensions are both bigger on the Q it is only in the thickness that it is smaller. Not to mention atleast in the initial specs the Q has worse battery life.
