i just got the phone last week, and i dont find the book very helpful in explaining how to do the mp3. how do you get mp3s on the phone? do you have to buy a cord? and can you use those mp3s as your ring tone? 😕

thanks for the replies in advance.

you can use a cord or the memory card (if you have the right slot in your computer) to get the mp3's on it. you can use the mp3's as ringtones. you just have to have it stored on the phone memory.

I have tried what you said and followed instructions in the book. I hook the cord up and click on the drive it says to and when i try and drag the song to the slot it says pretty much that I have nothing hooked up there. but it says my phone on the drive. I also went to the website for moto and they have a download but you have to have xp and my computer runs on windows me. DO i have to have that ? this so sucks !

Then you should be able to go to Start>My Computer>then click on the 'drive' that Windows created which is actually your phone's memory card (mine came up as Drive F). If you have ever used a Thumb Drive or Jump Drive it connects to and your computer recognizes it in the same fashion. Then I just clicked on the drive (F in my case), navigated to the folder labeled Audio, and started d...

If you have a memory card then all you do is put the phone memory card in the attached adapter and then you can drag the mp3 bit in that phone card and then click the card on the computer so that you can safely pull out the card and place the phone card in the phone and your set. I did that recently and thats the best thing ever. I could get ringers that I would not normally get from Cingular. However, if you have a Motorola phone you will need to get a disk to be able to download the mp3 to your phone. Other wise, you'll need to get a disk that was made for your phone. Hope this helps.
