I recently purchased an iPhone but have not opened it. I have been looking around now after reading the forums on the iPhone page and have thought about getting a different phone. The iPhone, isn't that feature packed. So should I go for this or stay with that?

I think it depends on what you really want in a phone. For me, the iPhone lacks certain features I want. Once you decide what features are the most important to you, you'll have your answer. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend the iPhone review & video that Phone Scoop did in the In Depth section. If I remember correctly, they skipped comments of the features most commonly reviewed by others and focused on some other ones. You might find it enlightening.

personally its going to depend on you. i have the 8525, and i love it, if someone offered a straight trade, i would keep my 8525

but i know quite a bit about phones and computers... if i were a normal(non business) consumer, i would proboly buy the iphone if it wasnt for money and i had a choice...

better yet, take back the iphone, purchase an 8525 at a discount and buy the iphone a little later since you really dont get a discount

Excellent idea, and I'd wait a year or so till the next release of the iphone comes out.

Just rememeber, the benifit of the 8525 is that if you don't feel like dragging it around, you take the sim out and put in in a regular smaller phone. I'm sure it can be done with an iphone, but then again, not. To me it is a big deal.

With the iphone the only better features you really get than what the 8525 offers are:
Safari browser ( without 3g is annoying due to web page detail), and visual voicemail(symuelsays makes this software for 8525 and blackberrys).
The 8525 is a PDA, the iphone is not. with the wifi on both it is a tough choice. However for the more technically savy users the 8525 is the better way to go for price and usability. For the less technical users who don't mind overpaying for product name, and ease of use the iphone may work well.
I for one have a little bit higher standards for what I expect my HIGH end devices to do so I chose the 8525. If you compare the 2 side by side even here on phonescoop you may see why. If you are concerned with bu...
