Has anyone else updated the ROM on there Cingular 8525/TyTn. The new ATT ROM seems to have some pretty good improvements.

So far for me its added the Push2Talk Feature which works really good as me and my friend both have the same phone and same update.

It also added better Bluetooth support and better Direct Push support.

So far So Good....

Any thoughts, anyone else used it? Using it?

yeah i have the update also.. umm i think they removed the link to the file. But with the update when u start up ur phone, u see the At&t logo. Its a lil bit faster and yes the PTT feature does work, but with an added fee.. I dont use it tho, but to my knowledge, the link has been removed

Sorry for the late response guys.... I am going to upload the file somewhere and post the link for your use.

Make sure you go to the XDA Developers forum ( just google it ) for install instructions.

You will need to downgrade in some cases to a older ROM before upgrading. Weird I know.

Stayed tuned for the download link

I really like the PTT... nice easy way to do a quick shout out, or just hit the Call Me button. Glad they added it to the new ROM update (which you can get from the HTC website).

It's always something!!! I did the upgrade, when I tried to use SPB Backup it wreaked all sorts of havoc, including my calendar appointments becoming invisible. So, it was hard reset time AGAIN. I could not get my ringtones to work, so I called the wizards in Tech Support and after one guy really trying for a half hour, he reads further and discovers "some users will find that downloaded ringtones will not work after the upgrade". WTF? We're going backwards here? Anyone have this issue and/or know how to get ringtones from Cingular that actually work?
