HTC TyTN / 8525 / JasJam (Hermes)
Please help....Rate this phone
I'm about to get this phone with cingular....I will use this phone for internet,email,using word docs, and using it as a modem for my labtop..and also phone usage...Should I get this one or how long do I need to wait for the treo 750.

well you cant go wrong with either the 8525 or 750 based on what you need to do. you get better real estate with the screen size on the 8525. If you want a 1 handed device and an actual keyboard then wait for the 750.
As for how long you have to wait for the 750, Palm has said it will be out no later than end of February(it will be out by end of this fiscal quarter and end of feb is when that is).

As for the 8525, are there any major faults other then it not being a one handed device. If i am getting the phone now would you recommend anyother phone over the 8525?

if getting now, then there is no other phone better. if you wanted to wait, then i would say go with 750. some will argue that 8525 has wifi and 750 doesnt but with hspda, its not that important.

I'm also debating between the 8525 and the Treo 750. I have a Treo 650 that doesn't sync anymore and has a few other problems so it is time to upgrade. What would definitely make me choose the 8525 is if I could use the 8525's WiFi to setup a wireless network for my and my partner's notebook to connect to the internet via the phone's 3G. Does anyone know whether or not that's possible?
If it isn't possible the WiFi doesn't really have any practical use for me.

i love this phone .. and ive had many many many of them
i cant see me switching anytime soon unless an upgrade comes out

Love this phone!
Just waiting for 3.5 audio adapter to come out so I can hook up my earphones to it. Selling my iPod Nano now 🙂 !
Built-in GPS receiver would be nice too.
Wish the camera was a little better (3MP & autofocus at least) , so I could sell my camera also. Well, I think I will need to wait till next X-mas for that to happen ....
As for today I think it is the best Phone/PocketPC available.
