HTC TyTN / 8525 / JasJam (Hermes)
Support, Warranty, And software/firmware upgrades
I just wanted to let everyone know that I just purchased the HTC TyTN. This is a great phone and has a lot of features (including a hefty price tag). Be careful when your buying this phone as an unlocked and unbranded phone. If you live in the US, I would recommend buying the Imate Jasjam version instead of the HTC TyTN. Why is this a mistake, well for a couple of reasons:
1) No Support or warranty: HTC TyTN comes with no support and software/firmware updates, if you goto to HTC home page they state that only the service providers service this phone including the supposed 2 year warranty this phone comes with. This is not the case since the phone is unbranded and cannot be serviced by any service provider.
