Hi, I'm trying to get my daughter's Razr V3m to sync with my laptop to put some mp3's on it for her.
I've bought the "music essential" from Verizon, installed it, Used a driver tool that I found on another part of this forum, it removed old drivers and installed new ones.
Still...Windows Media cannot find a device to sync to.
It sees it as a modem, it successfully installed drivers, it says and it shows in device manager as a modem.

Also, I converted the files to .WMA on my XP machine, put them in the My music folder on her card, replaced it, rebooted and it says "no music"
HELP!..Angry 13 year old daughter hot on my feet.
Vista 32 bit, home essentials.

First of all, I spent almost an hour on the phone with "my" cell company on this ... they tried but were of little help. The book doesn't even cover it well at all!

The files have to be MP3 format. I have been adviced by a fellow computer Geek (who has one of these - I use a Treo) that the files have to be 128k or smaller. I spent the last hour converting the songs I uploaded to his "chip" down to 128k. Nothing!!

I "HAD" it working last week! But my son wanted to change songs ... I was going to surprise him with a new selection. I ended up somehow hosing the chip (1GB) and had to get another one! It works fine in the phone, my camera, etc. except for the music - it has the files present but only 1 of all of the songs shows up!...

Ok ...
I've been told that the files need to be 128k, a lesser quality than the usual 320k used by CD's. I tried this - NOT TRUE! Don't waste your time doing it ... it doesn't work!

I have a lot of songs I put on the chip with my card reader. Only "2" of those worked!!! One was a 320k quality song by PETRA ... the other was a preaching session by KENNETH COPELAND! Go figure ... there's nothing logical about this - no common scenarios to resolve why one plays and the others don't! (Petra song - "Think Twice)

I would be interested in hearing if "ANYONE" gets this resolved. One Sales Rep told me, "Oh, they intended for you to download the songs from their store and play them." WRONG! The phone offers an option of either the sto...

I have sprint phone. But I put songs on mine last night. First converted to mp3. Thenput them on the card. First time it didn't find them. But after I put the card in the phone and took out it out and put back in the computer I noticed it created a music folder. Put my songs in the Music folder and then they were there to listen to.

I had to use my fax machine as a reader.
found it as drive image under my computer.
right clicked and formated like you would a floppy disk.
then I had to right click the drive... hit properties... went to Tool tab... Under Error checking clicked Check Now... checked both Automatically Fix File System Errors and Scan For And Attempt Recovery Of Bad Sectors
then hit the start button and let it do its thing.
after that I could then find it in media manager
