Motorola RAZR V3m

I have had a v3 for almost two years now and just got a new v3 because my last one was crap and I noticed that there are quite a few differences in the firmware from what I used to have. One of the things I noticed was that I can't seem to make my own ring tones anymore. I used to be able to make a ring tone, then change it to .mid and email to my phone and then I could save it and it became a ring tone that I could use. I don't seem to be able to do that with the newest firmware, I can still email the sound to my phone but it just saves under my sounds and cannot be moved into ring tones. Does anyone know how to fix this problem and be able to send homemade ring tones to my v3? Thanks for your help!
