well, i just got the new LG CU500, and i love it. but i don't know how to transfer the photo's i've taken and put them on my computer. i bought the data USB cable for it, but it doesn't seem to work. i've got some people waiting for these pictures, and i would like to figure it out. do i need a memory stick to be able to transfer the photos? any suggestions would be much appreciated.
please and thank you

You need a micro SD and Media card reader. You don't need USB cable. Save all the pictures to Micro SD, take out the micro SD from the phone and put it on the Media Card reader that connected to PC. You will see your pictures collection.

ah... alright, thanks. yeah, i bought a 1 gig for $25 today, and it comes with the adaptor. i'll probably take the USB cable back tomorrow, get my $30 back on that.

Using the USB cable is much more convenient than constantly opening the phone to swap the memory card in and out.

You should keep the cable - at least until you do your research of all the things you can do with this phone (e.g. synchronize your calendar, contacts, and tasks with Outlook, or access the phone storage directly with BitPim).

and why would i want to synchonize my calendars? it's a phone. i don't even use outlook, honestly. im perfectly fine with taking the thing out whenever. the thing is, is i wont be doing that too often. i took the USB cable back, and got back my $30. i'd much rather go through with the hassle of removing the card than not having those $30.

If you have the USB cable you can use this software for the TU500, it's the same thing as the CU500, its just the australian version, it'll also let you sync with outlook.
