Is rising ringtone defeatable now?
A cingular company store rep today told me that the rising-volume ringtone can be set to consistent-volume. But he demonstrated by playing the ringtones from the menu. I tried it later and couldn't find any rising tone defeat in the menus. Phone did say that the software was the most recent.

ascending ringer is standard and there is no way around it, unless you reflash the phone with a new firmware, which voids your warranty.
