need help connecting my lg to my hp IPAQ 3715 to get on the net

I am trying to connect my IPAQ 3715 to my phone to get on the net. I have paired the two and have sent a file from my IPAQ to my phone to test it. It worked, but I can't get my IPAQ to use my phone to get on the net. Is there a code from my phone that I have to give my IPAQ to be able to do this?
