New Update ZH07!!!! And what it did to my phone!!
😁 😁 I took the phone down to a Verizon store to get it update with the new SW ZH07 yesterday. Here are the specs of my phone, HW is 06.08, SW is ZD18. There is major lag in thumbnail loading, lag in voice calling, and a dark outside screen. The update at the store I went to took 45 min to do the update, but trust me, it's WELL worth it!!! Now, the outterscreen is brighter and more detailed, thumbnail loads a little quicker but still slight lag, voice calling is almost instaneous, camera options have changed which lead to my discover that i dont need AF to take great pictures and its a lot quicker!! One more great thing about the upgrade: my phone doesnt get hot when I use it in low reception areas!!! Before, I'd leave it plugged in and ...

The new software is great but after you go into the first menu, there are more (useless) items on the list than with the previous software. Because of this, "#" now gets a shortcut to one of the new items. This means that when you try and type the second code to get into the secret MP3 menu (which is something like #88😳KSEX82 I think), it just shortcuts to the menu item with the "#" instead of taking you to the code input screen. Hard to explain but go ahead and try it and you'll see what I mean.

Are you sure? We're talking about the MP3 player in the secret menu, not it's ability to make ringtones from MP3s. If you have the new update, go ahead and try and access the secret menu and see what happens. When you hit # to start typing the code, it brings you to the submenu "SATS mode" (?), because # is the menu shortcut to it. In other words, the secret menu is inaccessible.

That's old and it only allows you to play MP3s as ring tones by changing the file extension. Playing MP3s in the MP3 player is a completely different issue.
