a990 Software Update
There is a software update out there for all of your a990's. It upgrades your software version from ZD18 to ZH07. This upgrade is very worth it, as it makes the already quick menus INSTANTANEOUS, organizes the Camera options interface better and activates Voice-to-Text during text messages.
It takes about 15-20 minutes and all VZW stores are able to do this update.

I am extremely frustrated with this phone.
I bought it on Oct 1st and had problems since the beginning with the battery, on Oct 4th the battery was changed, on Oct 8th a new phone was given and still the same probs.
I charge the phone when it gets to the flashing stage, charge it, use it for a couple of short calls with my bluetooth headset, turn it off while at work, turn it on when I leave work, make one call and it dies.......
Verizon doesn't know what the problem is....bought an Ext Battery and again the same,,,
It is a beautifull phone but it doesn't work.
Any other souls out there with the same probs??? 🤠🙄

Yes the update is available now. What is your hardware version? Take off your battery and it should say 6.06, 6.07, 6.08. If you have .06 or .07 go to the store and ask for them to switch it for a .08, which is the newest manufactured date.
I havent had any kind of problem like this. Maybe your charger is broken or something.

I am having the same battery issues. I am getting about 24 hours of battery life with only 2 or short calls. Verizon has told me to completely drain the battery, then recharge for 10-12 hours to "re-energize" the battery. They say that works in 50% of the cases. They told me that if that does not work, they will replace the battery, but I am not holding my breath. Do a search on this forum for "battery" and you will see that we are not the only ones with the battery issue.

THERES A GUY ON THE HOWARD FORUMS THAT WORKS AT VERIZON, AND HE LISTED ONLY 2 THINGS THAT IT FIXED AND NONE WHAT YOU MENTIONED ABOVE WHERE ANY OF THEM??

Go there, an entire thread about this update. It fixes what I said it does, maybe other things that arent as noticeable.
And the hardware model is not on the battery, it is under it.

i love the CAPS!!! ANd WILL CONTinue to use them!! and i got the UPDATE and loVE IT!!! THE PHONE IS NOW COMPLETE!!!!!
