I recently had some trouble transferring music to my LG Chocolate.
First of all I re-formatted the MicroSD card in the phone. Settings-memory-card-options-format. Lock code is usually last 4 digits of cell number. This will erase ALL items from the card.
Then to re-load my card with music I had to do it in 2 steps.
1. If the music you are trying to load is ripped from a CD, then use Windows Media Player 10 and the Micro SD card with the adapter for the card reader.
Select the songs you want to Sync, then simply press the Sync button. Some songs need to be converted which is done automatically. They will be put directly onto the card. Open the card to make sure the songs are in the music folder. If not, put them there.
Replace Micro SD card into phone, and songs should play.
2. If the music you are trying to load has been downloaded using VCAST, then use the VCAST Music Manager with the cords connecting the phone via USB. Select the songs previously downloaded from VCAST and Sync.
This should work. It did for me. By the way my PC runs Vista.
