2GB Sandisk MicroSD card
Maybe this is old news, but I just noticed Amazon is selling the 2GB MicroSD card for $30. Wow - I paid $90 at a Verizon store for mine plus around $20 for the USB adapter. It's the best thing I ever got for this phone.
FYI - Amazon also has the card with adapter for $44. Save your money and avoid those thieves at Verizon...

I was under the impression that the 1 GB card was the highest card this phone will take. Does the 2 GB card work as well. I am waiting for the phone price to drop this spring before I buy one.

I've read a lot of back and forth on this forum about this (just scroll down). All I can reliably say is that *my* 2GB card has been working perfectly well in *my* A990 for months now.
That goes for loading and playing mp3's, taking pictures from phone to computer, putting pictures (in the correct format) onto the phone from the card, and saving movies.
