I recently brought my phone to verizon, as I was haveing problems answering my phone. As my phone rang while in my case , I would open the case and slide the phone out, if the phone got near the magnetic button in the strap the phone call would be lost and would go right to my voicemail, this happened at least 50% of the time. They told me they just found out about this problem from one of there employees who also has this phone and couldnt figure out why it would drop the call before being answered. They discovered that this phone is super sensitive to magnetic fields, and cases with these magnetic clips will drive the phone crazy. They switched my case to a regular slip case and the problem is gone. SOUNDS crazy but true!!!!! Did anyone el...

Dude, thank you so much for researching this. I use this phone religously for my job and I have a leather mobo case. Most of the time when I take my phone out of the case it will go str8 to voicemail. Well, I guess it's time to get a new case. Thanks for researching this out. This is still an awesome phone though. MP3, 3.2 camera, nav, video; i really can't complain too much but thanks again.

I was always wondering what was causing that to happen, I would drop EVERY call when I pull it out of my case, and I always thought one of the side buttons were getting pressed when pulling it out. I am going to the store and seeing what it says.

Well, was it just that specific case or just some of those model cases? The one with the magnetic closure that they suggest, were only some of them problematic or all of them. The store said it was not problem replacing it but if it is the case, then the problem will persist, so i am basically in a bind on what to do.

All Cases that have a magnet. The store tried other cases with magnetic closures and the same happened. you can test it yourself, just swip the phone with the magnet in the case while it is ringing and it will stop ringing and go to voicemail!! Stay away from ALL cases with magnets!!!! I did and my problem is gone!!!!

take and put the back of the phone next to magnetic flap, so the front is facing the clip, this works for me.

I would rather use a non magnetic case, as the magnetic field can screw up the phone , as per verizon.
